If we manually measure the original NASA image recently shot by the crew aboard Orion during Artemis II, it’s about 2,905 pixels across the equator, and about 2,894 pixels across the polar axis.
That gives: 2905 / 2894 = 1.0038
So the equator appears about 0.38% wider than the pole. 🤓 the Earth is not perfectly round in the image.
In real life, Earth is about 7,926 miles at the Equator with a Polar diameter of about 7,900 miles
That’s a difference of about 0.33%.
So yes, the image matches reality just fine. 👍🏼

It would only violate that if the camera was in your home or on your property.

This is the way, unfortunately. I'd rather see Linux distros outright region restrict than enact age verification. People who are savvy enough to install a new OS should be able to figure it out.

So it begins. ArchLinux 32 project has restricted access to Brazilian users. This is due to recently implemented Brazil law that enforces age verification at the operating system level. But this is more of a workaround, if I can even call that, than a solution. More and more US states are proposing age verification laws at OS level. What then? Will Linux distros start restricting their web access in those states as well?
