Big on this. I stopped caffeine ~1 year ago and have never felt better.
I quit cold turkey too and had the withdrawal symptoms but it was worth the effort.
If you’re looking for a caffeine alternative, would suggest @DrinkUpdate: uses paraxanthine (a healthy derivative of caffeine) and provides energy without the crash (or addiction).
I stopped drinking caffeine this year.
It was incredibly difficult to do.
I used to drink a large Starbucks iced coffee each morning & a medium sized coffee mid-day.
That is ~ 300mg of caffeine.
How did I stop? — I went cold turkey one day. It really sucked. I had headaches, I was irritable, and generally felt horrible for about 10 days.
But the benefits made it all worth it. Here is what I've seen so far:
- More energy during the day
- Better sleep at night
- More hydrated skin
- Elevated mood
If you're looking for something that could improve your life in 2024, highly recommend trying to cut out the caffeine drug.
@APompliano We agree- so we created Update! The world’s first caffeine free energy drink using paraxanthine, a new ingredient giving you energy and focus without the effects you hate from caffeine.
ANTI HYDRATION:
These Prime drinks are terrible for hydration
10mg of sodium
700mg of potassium.
-Sodium is the primary electrolyte lost when you sweat, not potassium
Drinking this during exercise would create greater imbalance in your blood
The formula makes no sense
@JobieTwits@WadePlem We use a metabolite of caffeine called Paraxanthine. In short, caffeine breaks down in your body into three metabolites: paraxanthine, theobromine and theophylline. Paraxanthine is what gives you energy without any negative consequences (no crash, no jitters etc.)
went into Foxtrot with a @DrinkUpdate —the person who was a the checkout is ringing the beverages I picked and then says —“oh and we forgot one”
“no, you don’t carry this .. YET”
he then asked more about the brand and I ended up leaving him a sample
for all founders, new hack
@EGolman Hi Eric - our product is indeed kosher under the supervision of the Kashruth Division of the Orthodox Union. Thanks for reaching out and for your email. We’ll send you the relevant docs today and we’re sorry for any confusion.
@DrinkUpdate your website says the project is kosher but I just received a sampler pack and don’t see any certification. Can you please share the certificate or name of the certifying agency?
