1/2 This week, we performed the first Minimally Invasive Mitral Valve Replacement (MICS), a highly advanced open-heart procedure that replaces a diseased mitral valve through small incisions between the ribs, avoiding full chest opening.

This morning, the Minister of State for Education, @ClaudetteIrere , officiated at the opening of the National Stakeholders’ Sensitization Forum on the East African Common Higher Education Area Workshop, organized by @iucea_info, the Inter-University Council for East Africa in Kigali. The workshop brings together higher education leaders, policymakers, and other stakeholders to deepen understanding of regional cooperation in higher education and advance the vision of a harmonized education space across the East African Community.

Prof. Rai, the Acting Executive Secretary of the @iucea_info , in his address in Kigali, emphasized that the EAC Common Higher Education Area represents one of the most significant milestones in the regional higher education agenda.

The National Stakeholders’ Sensitization Forum on the East African Common Higher Education Area (EACHEA) has officially commenced in Kigali, bringing together key stakeholders from government institutions, regulatory bodies and universities.
