Any outsider hurting them becomes the enemy first. That’s exactly what’s happening in Iran. Protests against the regime? Sure, they’ve been brutalized before. But foreign bombs falling, supreme leader dead, foreign invasion? People rally around the flag. Exiled Iranians in the West dream of rebellion, but that’s fantasy.
