It's becoming clear JD Vance is going to have to distance himself from Tucker Carlson eventually. There's probably no rush to do it before he officially launches his campaign, but he's gonna have to do it. Tucker is radioactive politically and he's alienated so many people that I don't believe you can win a republican primary if you are on team Tucker.

The White House could be exclusively Ron DeSantis and Ann Coulter clones but it wouldn’t fix the anti-change conservatives in the Senate or House or judiciary or in the states. It wouldn’t solve bureaucratic resistance and most definitely would not repeal the filibuster or get Republicans any new seats in either chamber of Congress. No amount of legal jujitsu will make Star Wars judges stop ruling like Star Wars judges. It doesn’t change all the resistance that comes from blue states. And a big part of this problem is this mentality, which is more pronounced with Rs than with Ds. Should’ve voted for Lake and Masters and Oz and Kent and O’Dea and Hogan etc. We need all the allies we can get even if they disagree on 70% of the things, because the alternative is a Dem who disagrees with 99% of things and wants you in jail. And yes, this even applies to Romney in 2012. Should’ve turned out for him and given him a shot and also voted for all those downballot candidates so that some of them could still be incumbents in 2026.

Noone is above the law. If Tucker and Kent committed treason, they should be arrested.

Rebuked by NATO allies who know now they cannot rely on the U.S. for their security, and will act accordingly to secure security for the future. War not going well, and even if it was, the Gulf security agreement has been weakened forever, and they'll do the same. The most likely outcome as of now? Israel gets stronger in the region. We get weaker from Europe to Southeast Asia. It was a massive mistake that could seriously rival Iraq and they haven't even put expeditionary units on the ground yet. Those are the realities. It's an incredible miscalculation by a president who ran on making the country stronger precisely by NOT making foolish errors and starting stupid new wars in the Middle East.
