Yesterday, I met with Peteru 'Omo Iya Eleja' in my office and I was truly inspired by this young man. He took to the streets encouraging residents to clean their surroundings during the monthly sanitation exercise, driven purely by a sense of civic duty and community responsibility.
He told me that a clean environment is directly tied to public health and that doing his country job requires no financial reward. This is the spirit that built Lagos and this is the spirit that will sustain a #CleanerLagos and a #GreaterLagos. The story of Peteru should inspire all of us. We celebrate him.
