@Baddiel I once had a GP appointment about thrush where she consistently referred to "down below". I had to pointedly ask her if by "down below" she meant vagina, as she seemed to have trouble with the word! She couldn't even say it, which is surely not good as a medical professional!

I had to speak to a medical person this morning on the phone. She asked if I was going to the toilet more than normal. I said a little. She said: "Poo-poo or wee-wee?" I felt I should say "Sorry, I'm 59...do you mean "bowel movements or passing urine?" Instead I said: "Poo-poo."
