@freeman42x Replace "LLM" with "human" and "training" with "upbringing" and you run into the same problem. A human claims "they are conscious" but they didn't have a concept of the word "conscious" until they learned it.

If AI can wonder if it's conscious does that mean it's conscious?

Not “what to know.” But “how to think, ask, judge, and create.” 3 things I’m already drilling into my own kids: 1️⃣ Curiosity over compliance, the best question beats the fastest answer. 2️⃣ Judgment over memorization, AI gives you 10 options. Knowing which one matters? Still human. 3️⃣ Creation over consumption, don’t just use AI tools. Build with them. Direct them. Own them. The smartest entity in the room won’t be human anymore. But the most valuable human in the room? That’s the one who knows how to work WITH the smartest entity in the room. That’s the skill. That’s the prep. That’s the future.

@Hitchslap1 I find it hard to believe that a bus schedule is beyond the grasp of people who are capable of communicating with language. There is not much difference between a medicine label and a bus schedule except the bus schedule doesn’t also include how the bus is going to kill you.

High IQ people take their intelligence for granted. Many assume that everyone can think like them. They’ve never struggled to understand a bus schedule or medicine label.
