@exQUIZitely Very cool games. It has tons of character and atmosphere, which is exactly what's missing in Team17's 2010 Alien Breed reboots.

Alien Breed celebrates its 35th anniversay this year. Pubished by Team 17 in 1991, it was based on the hugely successful Aliens franchise. Interestingly, not a single cent had to be paid by Team 17 for any license - which I find odd since it's obviously leaning very heavily on the movies. It had one of the best intro soundtracks of all time, sometimes I would just let it run endlessly. The game itself was ok, nothing special (maybe some will disagree, that's only fair). I thought it had way more potential than being "just" an action game with minimal puzzle elements. A few RPG elements could have worked wonders. The variety of enemy creatures also seemed a bit limited. It was still a commercial success for Team 17 and spawned several sequels. Were you a fan?

Here's what happens when you try landing on a planet during Cruise Mode in Starfield after the latest Free Lanes update. Even you can get quite close to it, you cannot enter a planet without going through the landing sequence by opening the map.

The problem is not that it's "sad" that they die, but that it is narratively lazy to kill them off-screen just to get a quick clean slate

Any alien fan who hasn't seen this must take the time to. Alien 3 isn't a great movie but the 30 minutes resorted to it make it definitely more than decent. Far more coherent and interesting with great plot points restored. @ScottApogee talking to you!

@cauboidoespasso @UnderTheMayo @ScottApogee Nothing gratuitous about it. A happy family dynamic has little to nothing to contribute to furthering any Alien horror. Diluting the films further into clichés is not even close to what you think is "mature".

It's such an immature take to think that the gratuitous deaths are somehow more mature than continuing to develop the established characters. The latter requires actually good writing.

@FimbulvinterNow @ScottApogee I don't think you can be upset at people for being really happy about newt hicks and ripley making it out together after all they went through. They ripped the hearts out of the audience in Alien 3 and that's understandably offputting.

遊星からの物体X、視聴終了ー。 いやーすげえSFホラーだった・・・ クリーチャーデザインと、それが動いての生物らしさがすんごい、気持ち悪いー！生き物感が溢れてたのがすごい。 見てて引き込まれる映画でした。南極の誰も頼れない極限の空間で、疑心暗鬼になっいく。血液使ってのいきもの探しで起きる襲撃が1番気持ち悪かった。すごいよあれ・・・ 全く中身把握せずに見た作品ですが、見てよかった！
