I have Step 1 exam fee pending. That’s it. That’s what’s keeping me from moving forward in my USMLE journey right now. Not lack of preparation. Not lack of knowledge. Just money. Money that was supposed to come from my YouTube channel this month. I passed my medical degree. I survived years of studying medicine. I chose a path that most people said was too hard. And I said fine — I will fund it myself. I will build something. I will earn it. So I did. I built my channel. Video by video. Month by month. I was so close. The exam date was in my head. The fee was almost saved. April 6th changed everything. One email. Channel demonetized. Income gone overnight. I still remember sitting with my phone that evening just staring at the screen. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know who to call. I just sat there. Do you know how it feels to be a fully qualified doctor who cannot move forward because of an algorithm’s mistake? I studied pharmacology at 3am. I memorized pathology slides on an empty stomach. I chose this hard road with full awareness. But I never prepared for this. @TeamYouTube replied once and went silent. That silence is louder than anything right now. Every day I don’t pay that fee is a day my exam slot gets harder to book. Hello @TeamYouTube I run a health channel with around 119K subscribers and recently became eligible for the Silver Creator Award. However, when I try to redeem/apply for the award using the email/link provided, I get an address/error issue and cannot proceed. Also, my channel monetization is currently disabled, so I want to confirm whether I am still eligible for the Silver Play Button and how I can successfully submit my application. I would appreciate your guidance. Thank you.

¡YouTube finally restored my monetization! After more than a month, Youtube recognized the removal was a mistake during the review process. Thanks to @TeamYouTube for taking another look at my case, and thanks to everyone who helped give visibility to my complaint and supported me during this process. I’m obviously grateful to have my channel back, but honestly, it’s concerning that errors like this can affect creators for weeks or even months. So, I want to share what helped me in case other creators are going through something similar (no need to DM me or anything — I’ll leave everything here): 1️⃣ I made a public video explaining the entire situation: - the reason for the demonetization, - why I believed it was incorrect, - and showing evidence/screenshots. (You don’t even need to show your face; I only used my voice.) 2️⃣ I asked my community for support. Comments, engagement, and shares help bring visibility to the case. 3️⃣ I paid for X/Twitter Premium. It definitely helped increase reach and visibility so the tweet could reach the YouTube team faster. 4️⃣ I made a tweet (english) summarizing the issue and tagged @TeamYouTube. I attached screenshots and evidence supporting my argument and showing inconsistencies in the review. 5️⃣ YouTube responded to the tweet and sent my channel for an additional review. After that, all I could do was wait. In my case, it took around 3 more days for a final response. I hope this helps other creators going through the same thing. IS THIS FIGHT EVEN WORTH IT ANYMORE? 😞Because honestly, it feels like YouTube doesn’t care unless a post gets big enough for people to notice. 119 days demonetized. Appeal rejected. Policy reason changed. No exact video named. No clear explanation. Support says they can’t access review details. And after all that, creators are still told: “fix your channel and reapply.” Fix what? @TeamYouTube I’m tired, but I’m not the only one. More creators are going through this quietly every day, and most don’t have enough reach to be heard. If this system can affect anyone’s livelihood with vague answers, then creators need to speak louder together.

This honestly hurts to read. People outside YouTube often think demonetization is “just about ads,” but situations like this show how deeply connected these channels become to real lives, real careers, and real futures. Studying medicine for years, building a channel from scratch to fund your own dream, getting so close to your next step… and then suddenly being stuck in silence and uncertainty would mentally destroy almost anyone. No creator expects life to be easy, but nobody should feel like years of effort and momentum can disappear overnight without clear communication or proper human review. Really hope your channel gets the fair attention it deserves and that you’re able to continue your USMLE journey soon ❤️

🚨One thing I’ve started noticing with a lot of monetization cases on X: After hundreds of creators asking for help publicly, @TeamYouTube replies to one tweet saying: “We already sent our reply via DM.” From the outside, people think: “Wow, YouTube is actively helping and investigating the issue.” But then you open the DM… and it’s the exact same generic copy-paste response every creator keeps getting: “Reply to your existing case.” “Review your videos.” “Our systems and human reviewers reviewed your channel as a whole.” “Reapply in 90 days.” No specifics. No actual clarification. No meaningful discussion about the channel itself. The public reply creates the impression that progress is being made, while privately creators are still stuck in the exact same automated loop with no real answers. At this point, many creators are not even asking for instant reinstatement anymore. They’re asking for something much simpler: A transparent explanation. A context-aware human review. And communication that actually addresses their individual case instead of repeating the same templates to everyone.

YouTube Creator Support in 2026: ⏳ “Wait 5 minutes while we check.” ⏳ “Please wait another 5 minutes.” 🔁 Transfer to another agent. 🤖 Same copy-paste response. ❌ No specific violations. ❌ No actual explanation. 🚪 Chat closed. Creators spend YEARS building channels, following policies, editing content, streaming, engaging with communities… only to get treated like ticket numbers instead of human beings. If a channel allegedly violates policy, creators deserve: • clear examples • transparent reviews • meaningful explanations • actual human support Not endless automated replies telling us to “improve” without saying WHAT is wrong. Is this really what creator support has become? Creators wait 40, 60, even 90+ days after demonetization hoping for real help, only to enter support chats where they are repeatedly told: “please wait 5 minutes while I check this for you.” Then another 5 minutes. Then another transfer. Then the exact same copy-paste response. What’s the point of making creators wait 10–15 minutes just to send a generic template that says nothing specific about the alleged issue? And the moment a creator doesn’t instantly reply within seconds, chats get closed immediately. But creators are expected to wait endlessly for answers that never come. Today I was finally transferred to a “manager” after pushing for transparency. I genuinely thought someone would finally review the situation properly. Instead? More scripted responses. More vague policy references. No actual examples. No meaningful explanation. Then: “Other creators are waiting, so I’m ending this chat.” Imagine spending years building a channel, following policies carefully, getting demonetized without clear evidence, waiting months for answers, and then being treated like your concerns are just something to clear out of a queue as fast as possible. Creators are not begging for favors. We are asking for transparency, accountability, and fair treatment. @TeamYouTube please start treating smaller creators like humans, not ticket numbers.

I converted my faceless health channel into face cam videos. I showed up. Literally. My face. My story. On camera every single video. I did everything in my power to show you I am real. I have thoroughly read and understood every single YouTube policy. My previous videos are not mass-produced content. Every script was written fresh. Every video covers a different angle of the same health topic. That is not mass production — that is how health education works in short form. I was within your policies @TeamYouTube. I genuinely was. And I am still waiting. My Step 1 exam fee is sitting unpaid. My USMLE journey is on hold. after waiting for so long… 😭🙏 i was finally remonetized on youtube 🔥 this whole journey was honestly exhausting 💀 first i got demonetized for “inauthentic content” then my appeal got rejected then i kept contacting support over and over again 😭 every single day i kept checking emails hoping for good news 🙏 there were moments where i genuinely thought my channel was finished 💀 especially after getting rejected multiple times but i didn’t give up 🔥 i kept fighting for my channel, kept trying, and after all that waiting… I FINALLY GOT REMONETIZED 😭🔥 this experience taught me that sometimes you just have to keep going even when everything looks over 🙏 so if you’re going through demonetization right now: don’t panic too early and don’t give up on your channel 💀 follow me & dm me if you want help 🔥

24 days after my suspension I got my monetization back! 💪 I want to say a big thank you to all of you who showed support. I'll be honest - I probably had zero chance of getting a human reviewer if you hadn't made enough noise to be impossible to ignore. I'm forever grateful for that. I also want to thank @TeamYouTube and everyone who got involved in my case. There is a lot of backlash from creators right now, and for good reason - but keep in mind there are real people working at YouTube tirelessly, fixing what the system has unfairly done to creators. I wish this had been implemented better. I understand the vision YouTube is trying to achieve, but there are so many false positives and real people caught in the middle that this has to be fixed. Especially the policy of clawing back the previous month's payments. There are people doing this full time who got caught in this mass demonetization wave. People who were counting on that payment at the end of the month to pay their bills. Mothers, fathers, students. If YouTube is reading this, please consider reverting the clawed back payments. There are too many false positives, and it's creators' livelihoods that are on the line. Thank you again. 🙏

Now it honestly makes more sense why there’s a 90-day waiting period before creators can reapply for monetization. A creator gets demonetized, and after around 50 days, they can lose access to the payout from work they already completed — all while being told to “improve” their channel without being given any clear explanation of what actually needs to be fixed. In my case, it’s already been over 9 days since my channel was demonetized, and I still haven’t received a proper explanation of what exactly is wrong with my content. @YouTube should not be able to withhold creators’ hard-earned earnings without transparency. Simply labeling content as “inauthentic” without identifying specific videos or explaining the actual issue does not help creators improve anything — it only leaves us confused and stuck. Creators are expected to fix their channels, but how can that happen when: • No specific videos are identified • No clear violation is explained • Only the same vague label keeps getting repeated What makes this even more frustrating is that ads can still run on the exact same videos. So the content is considered “inauthentic” for creators to earn from, but still acceptable for YouTube to profit from? That’s where the system starts to feel unfair. Creators invest time, creativity, effort, and consistency into building their channels. Situations like this make it feel like all of that work can be dismissed without proper review or communication. We are not asking to bypass rules. We are asking for transparency, fair treatment, and real human communication. If more creators are going through this, it needs to be talked about. That is exactly where YouTube needs to look at intent and structure, not just surface similarities. Health Shorts can naturally use a repeated format because the topic needs to be explained clearly and quickly every time. Same niche, same educational style, and frequent uploads should not automatically equal mass production. I’m dealing with demonetization on my own channels too, and I know how painful it is when real work gets judged like a template. If every video has a different topic, script, source, and purpose, YouTube should review that properly instead of putting everything under one broad label.

My channel got demonetized for “mass-produced content.” You want to know what mass-produced actually looks like? Open YouTube right now. Search my niche. You will find channels uploading copy pasted content, same scripts, same structure, same everything — bulk uploaded every single day. Still monetized. Still earning. Not a single flag. Then look at my channel. I make health Shorts. 60 seconds is not enough to explain one health topic completely. So I break it down. One topic. One point at a time. 10 videos covering 10 different angles. Every script written fresh. Every word different. That is not mass production. That is the only way to teach health education in short form. But @TeamYouTube AI system cannot see that difference. It just sees similar topics and flags everything. No human judgment. No context. Just an algorithm making life changing decisions and then sending the same copy paste reply to everyone. My USMLE journey had one funding source. This channel. That source is gone now. I have no hope left on this platform. I am broken. Every night I see horrible dreams. Every morning I wake up to the same emptiness. I know you won’t read this. Your system will send another template. But I am posting anyway.
