A destabilised climate stresses plants and animals, as well as making it easier for some diseases to spread. Prices rise as a result. The implications are multiple: on the production side, it requires agricultural adaptation, on the consumption side it requires reducing inequality. Action on emissions and drawdown are also important but it's only a specialist and economically privileged profession that would emphasise that without the other responses. This is madness. Yesterday’s low temperature of +22.5°C (+72.5°F) in Biarritz was the highest minimum temperature ever recorded in France 🇫🇷 for the month of April. In fact, +22.5°C was one of the highest minimum temperatures ever measured at this station (for any month).

Voor een kind van 15 kg (~3 jaar) op het strand van Knokke is het voldoende om 0,03 ml in te nemen om de door de EFSA vastgestelde toelaatbare wekelijkse inname van PFAS 4 te bereiken (zie onderstaande berekening, aangepast aan PFAS-concentratie van 2.400.000 ng/l in Knokke).

@Tycho_vh @BenjaminClarys1 Misschien ook nuttig dit uit te breiden naar kustbewoners, -vissers en surfers.

Komende weken gaan we het PFAS-gehalte checken bij onze beleidsmakers. We vragen steun voor het Europese PFAS uitfaseringsvoorstel & vestigen de aandacht op de vingerprik-methode om nog meer mensen te werven deel te nemen aan het grootschalig gezondheidsonderzoek in regio 3M!
