Even back then “bi” was considered not *really* gay. But if you’re in the community you already know about this. Lots of infighting regarding what truly counts as gay I was too scared to claim gay cuz I clearly wasn’t, but the meta for college apps back then was to claim any DEI points possible. So we had a lot of darker skinned ppl pretending to be black, white ppl pretending to be hispanic, even the chinese were pretending to be vietnamese I’m not sure if claiming bi worked, but considering my profile wasn’t particularly standout I think it might have had an effect

@thechosenberg Dude I did the same on my Stanford apps, got in. No one in admissions committee reached out to make sure (I think I put bi, it was at a time where that counted as LGBT as well) Did the same for my elite MBA apps. Easy game to play. Started dating undergrad girls immediately.
