Japanese media are obsessed with Tiananmen because it gives them a moral stage they never earned. They do not remember Asia. They do not remember Nanjing. They do not remember Unit 731. They do not remember comfort women. They do not remember the graves they left across the continent. But they suddenly remember Chinese “human rights” when it helps them feel morally superior to China. Japan lost the Pacific War. So now it tries to win a moral victory in Tiananmen Square. But nothing can wash the blood off its hands.

@bunburyoudoujp Really sucks to be honest that China and Japan will likely never get along as long as the CCP is still in leadership. Japan is unfortunately a really good political scapegoat to distract the Chinese people of any BS China might be doing.

@bunburyoudoujp Genuinely found it hilarious when China tried to accuse Japan of "new Militarism" when China's the one making long range bombers, missiles and acquiring more nukes into their stockpile. The hypocrisy is just hilarious now.

@OopsGuess JPs seem unusually obsessed with China’s internal affairs. What’s striking is, unlike in the West where such topics are mostly confined to media and politicians, this fixation runs deep across JP society, creepy. Their ambition toward Chinese has never gone.

@grumblin_k @oidonhagouda It's not supposed to be Hokuriku. Like I said, HokuHoku is the name of the line. Though yeah now that I've looked at it more it's 100% AI. For crying out loud the Shinkansen platform number sign that's usually only on platforms is in the middle of the hallway. + all the AI text.

🇯🇵 An asylum seeker arrived in Japan. He caused a disturbance at the airport. Japan removed him from the country the same day. Do you support this decision?

@PatriotQfsWeb Yes... BUT they really have to start attracting real talent and workers rather than people who just cause problems. It's so irritating to see Japanese immigration law and policy let bottom feeders stay while actively driving out people who can contribute to Japanese society.

@oidonhagouda I think the railfan inside me died inside looking at this. There is so much wrong with a lot of the signage it's not even funny. Like... what is the Shinkansen platform signage that is generally only at platforms doing inside the station? Obviously AI

@grumblin_k @oidonhagouda Pretty sure the post is AI BUT there is a station in Japan called Echigo Yuzawa station which has two rail lines. The Jōuetsu line and the Hokuhoku line. The Hokuhoku line is run by a non-jr company and runs to Naoetsu. The station is also connected by the Jōuetsu Shinkansen.

@oidonhagouda 上越新幹線 is supposed to be Joetsu Shinkansen. There's no Hokuhoku Shinkansen pretty sure it's Hokuriku (北陸). If you're going to incite hate at least check the AI slop next time... this is embarrassing.

🇯🇵 When people visit Japan, they don't want to see the picture on the left but instead want to see the picture on the right. A country is many things but its mainly its people. We need laws against loitering by foreign religious organizations to prevent these things.

A post allegedly showing foreigners sitting and eating outside food at Tokyo Disney Sea has gone viral, receiving over 23M+ views. Eating outside food is banned. There are bag checks & lots of staff patrolling the park. If real, it's strange that park staff didn't stop them.

@KasimirUrbanski @akhivae pfft replies and then blocks me so I can't respond. I guess he might've forgotten about how Alberta reopened mining surveys and projects in the Rockies that might poision water in the rivers. Oh wait right... because that doesn't make the feds look bad.

@KasimirUrbanski @akhivae Yeah so what your saying is discriminating against the disabled, ruining the rockies which is an integral part of Albertan identity, and also destroying our healthcare systems are also Albertan values? Oh right, because since the Feds aren't that one's doing it, it's not bad.

The Albertan seperatist movement is fueled entirely by economic frustrations, which distinguishes it from almost every other seperatist movement in the world, which are built around a shared ethno-cultural identity. This is something Quebec has but Alberta does not. Right now, the "culture" most seperatists are trying to claim as their own is the generic North American conservative monoculture (pick up trucks, cowboy hats, country music and collision sports). Most seperatists weren't even "anti-Canada" until the 2020s which makes it hard for them to outright reject symbols of Canada like the Anthem.

A separatist in Calgary got scared off by the singing of O Canada. Lots of loud voices against separatism! Canada 🤝 Alberta 🇨🇦❤️

@thecritcomp @akhivae He's literally not wrong. This is mostly to do with economic strains with Alberta and Canada. You can't possibly try to pass this off as a cultural/ethnic problem. "I'm a White Conservative who hates Ottawa" doesn't pass as a distinct identity to the rest of Canada.
