I was personally involved in a case where authority ( a teacher ) was told about one student beating up another- and the teacher deliberately turned the other way.
Given the school’s history of “do nothing worthwhile”, I’d suggest it’s entirely possible Austin Metcalf believed there would be no help from that quarter.

One thing I've noticed about the Karmelo Anthony supporters is they have no concept of the idea of proportionality.
They think that as soon as someone "disrespek" you then you can take their head off.
This explains the high rates of violence in some communities.

It could be argued that being under a shelter belonging to and erected by someone else without permission constitutes theft, trespassing, or both. Non-deadly force is lawfully permitted to protect property from theft or to terminate a trespass in practically every jurisdiction on the US.
