@OverlyTrev You could have plugged it for ten bucks. They are not an honest tire shop. It is not too close the firewall. A little more over, yea, you are screwed. Too late.. just get the old tire patched properly when you get home and have the new tire as a spare.

Update and it’s not great. Discount tire is closed on Sunday so went to a local Firestone. They said they could not patch it and refused to patch it. They said it was too close to the wall of the tire. Really had no choice but to get a new tire, they didn’t have the OEM tires in stock so I’ll have a mismatched one which sucks, I hate that. They gave me a little bit of a discount but had to spend $300 on a tire wasn’t on my agenda for this trip. It is what it is.

I stopped working my construction job at the end of February 2024, or 26 months ago. Since then, I’ve gassed up my truck 13 times, spending less than $800 total. That’s the cool thing about being a retired homebody, I hardly ever drive anymore, and when I do, it’s usually only 2-3 miles from my house. I’m blessed, because I pretty much already have everything I need.

Buying any car other than a Tesla in 2026 makes zero sense. A Tesla is the safest car on the road. The most technologically advanced. The only one that gets better the longer you own it. Every other car is dinosaur technology. The second you drive it off the lot, that's as good as it'll ever get. No new features. No new safety improvements. Nothing. A Tesla bought 3 years ago drives better today than the day it left the lot. That's wild when you think about it. Why settle for old when you can drive the future?

Stuff breaks. You pay insurance monthly. Property taxes every year. 3–6% in realtor fees when you sell. And we act like renting is throwing money away. There is a strong argument for renting.

@iAnonPatriot During a hospital stay I was in a lot of pain, and the night shift gave me Fentanyl. Instantly NO PAIN, and no foggy side effects. Dr. immediately put me back on Morphine in the morning. When I told him how much better I felt using the "F" he acknowledged it "was a problem"
