@JOLTLORD117 yeah for as much as i love the Bungie era games they did make some mess ups. i think the most notorious is jackles snipers loosing the glowing shields leaving just muted and de saturated colors making them really hard to spot. thank god they fixed it in 3 with the eye piece.

CE has really good readability, which makes a lot of the decisions in its sequels extra confusing.

One thing i do appreciate about halo ce was the ultra shinny and saturated textures reserved for enemies and vehicles contrasting with the more subdued textures of the level geometry. People don’t praise halo ce’s readability enough.

Can we stop with the nostalgia cope. "Old thing better than new thing" does not automatically imply nostalgia. If anything, 343 is banking on the idea that we'll be blindly nostalgic and buy their remake slop.
