@SouthStandPies Have a quick look at Ipswich and hoe their investors and ownership model is continually evolving. You will get your answer on how Americans work

The behaviour of Storch & Co gives me a sense that they aren’t going anywhere. But I also sense that they can’t fund #SWFC in the long run and appealing a points/spending restriction is going to take sometime. So what’s going to happen?

@pxowl86 @TDWednesday Interesting didn’t notice that. He’s either taking it on warts and all or there is some deadline for him to withdraw (couldn’t blame him) he won’t risk losing a deposit only to be preferred bidder for a few weeks. Storch isn’t stupid like the previous one

@GoalShort @TDWednesday Said paid substantial deposit in club statement last week. It didn't say non refundable though, so wonder if this week is if he get it refunded or not

So Storch group is fully committed to getting a takeover done, lots of talks with EFL & stuff BUT the group might also walk away - pretty simple stuff! What does everyone else think? #swfc

@TDWednesday @griffiths_tom41 Just wondered why the star were reporting that this week was pivotal? He’s nowhere near close to getting through the fit and proper tests

@onaRohl @wellbeaten1977 Mel Morris write off over 100m worth of debt he was owed or they’d have gone bust. Yet when we ask DC to do the same they say we should be paying him the full 25% 🤷🏼‍♂️ Derby will always be the scum bags that ripped of the UK taxpayer. Ingrained into their history

@GoalShort @wellbeaten1977 Didn’t the previous guy Mel Morris (I think) have to drop his claim so they could sell it without points deduction. So technically they never paid all the creditors or am I wrong ?

See plenty of Derby fans telling us we should pay 25% to creditors or be punished This the same club that ripped of the UK taxpayer for 18.78m when leaving admin? Our debt to the state upon leaving admin will be zero. #swfc

@DaveLee101 @wellbeaten1977 Derby fans need to get of their high horse. They left more debt to HMRC alone than we will leave to creditors Their behaviour lead to HMRC becoming a preferred creditor, which means like you say we must pay in full. But we owe them a few million, Derby owned them 25m 🤦‍♂️

@GoalShort @wellbeaten1977 Changes to the insolvency act (post EFL rules being made) means that SWFC must pay 100% of IR debt. Derby paid 25p in the £. Not many realise this. Otherwise Derby would’ve had -15. Also their former owner did not claim a large amount of what he was owed.

@Cobby5 @David_O_91 @chriswswfc76 Did you pay lot Mel Morris the £118m that he was owed? Did Mel Morris completely dismantle your playing squad to try to cling onto the club for another couple of months? If the answer to both of those questions is No, then you have no right to question the motives of #swfc

When it is argued, in various football disputes, that points deductions must be imposed even for inadvertent breaches, in order to vindicate compliant clubs, one has to wonder whether that reflects a genuine commitment to consistent strict enforcement in all cases, or is simply a position adopted for the purposes of a particular case. Consistency is very important in sport - the lack of it can undermine public confidence in the integrity of the whole game. I do not comment on any one individual case, I just hope that those involved in the decision making processes can see the merit in treating each case according to its particular circumstances rather than being inflexible in some, but very flexible in others. That, I am sure, would help restore the confidence in sports arbitration we all wish for.

Sending my love to @dannykellywords after his news today. Without you Dan I wouldn't have been able to fulfill my love of sports broadcasting, to share a lot of fun, laughter and superb times working together. To say I'm gutted, devastated and anxious doesn't even scratch the surface. But I KNOW you'll come through the other end safely. You did a lot for men generally today by encouraging others to get checked, a mark of the man that while processing personal news you still have others in mind. And to echo Danny's words today, especially to men and even more so for men of a certain vintage, if feel something's off, please go to the Dr.

@TrapitJon Derby came out of all restrictions a year after exiting admin. They have a wage budget as well. If we can do the same as they that’s a result. They were signing players like Connor Hourihane immediately after leaving admin.

@GoalShort I think the wage restrictions could also be negotiated. I think Derby were given much lighter restrictions based on their revenue even though they had avoided the deduction
