Can anyone think of any stats that would help you understand whether levels of trust in public institutions were higher or lower in one country than another? Eg, I think uptake rates of childhood vaccines tells you something interesting. Anything else like that?

The best way to create growth is to redistribute wealth from the rich, who don’t spend their excess cash, to those on low incomes who need to spend all they have to enjoy a decent standard of living. Kwarteng is proposing the exact opposite, so he is not supporting growth.
