@jbtafn @GuscottMark @pbl1972 @MorrisonFarming @blairdrysdale77 @PaulBMcGill @neXtgenAgri @AaronJMeikle I have some already, growth is well behind grass under pivot, dry patches between the sprinkler circles, affected by wind more than a pivot, uniformity of water isn’t great, pain in the bum for mowing ha ha

Does anyone have experience using the G-Set system for irrigating pastures? @MorrisonFarming @blairdrysdale77 @PaulBMcGill @neXtgenAgri @AaronJMeikle rxp.co.nz/irrigation/g-s…

If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, does it make a noise?
If a storm occurs and the media do not report it is it climate change?
Just because an event is the worst you have witnessed does not mean it is the worst ever.
Interesting read. theoutdoorphonestore.com/175606/climate…

@Edwinmab1 I kind of agree. Reporting extreme events is everyday now as we've all got phones and cameras in our pockets. And media earns money from clicks that scare us. It's a failing business model

@GrovesCole @pbl1972 @MorrisonFarming @blairdrysdale77 @PaulBMcGill @neXtgenAgri @AaronJMeikle That's my thinking too as we into cash cropping. But why would you not get solid set? The sales guys all say its more efficient etc
English

@GuscottMark @pbl1972 @MorrisonFarming @blairdrysdale77 @PaulBMcGill @neXtgenAgri @AaronJMeikle I would buy a pivot over solid set any day!

@johnmpringle1 Morning mate. We just bulk graze the whole paddock with a high stocking rate. Rape gives us a lot of feed at a normally dry time. Plantain gives ground cover for gaps and post rape feed. The following spring we drill chicory and red clover into it. Sometimes grass as well

@GuscottMark Apologies for pulling this thread back out of the bushes 🫣
How do manage mainstar and plantain and I assume your left with a stand of plantain the following season what do you put in with it or manage (planning summer cropping )

@MorrisonFarming @TrevorTcook @BenDooley8 @PaulBMcGill @Dayzie72 any comments on this crop for finishing lambs ?

English

@BoltenFritz @pbl1972 @MorrisonFarming @blairdrysdale77 @PaulBMcGill @neXtgenAgri @AaronJMeikle Roger that will do. Cheers mate hope you're well up in the tropics

@GuscottMark @pbl1972 @MorrisonFarming @blairdrysdale77 @PaulBMcGill @neXtgenAgri @AaronJMeikle I saw rain360 work in the USA. Look it up. I don’t think it’s commercial at this stage. But might be an alternative in the future
