@BenGrahamUK @martb1985 We voted Labour only 2 years ago so by your method we shouldn't have another vote for 20 years. Are you ok with or are you being a hypocrite?

@martb1985 Personally think we should leave it at least another decade before having another referendum. No point being in & out every decade.

@johnredwood A quick look at national grid data shows that as we use more gas for generration the price of electricity rises at an alarming rate. On Tuesday the use of gas for electricity rose from ~25% to over 50% in the evening causing wholesale electricity to rise from £80/MWh to £560/MWh

The BBC is not a trustworthy news source. It fails to present criticisms of the damaging net zero policies. It loads its news in favour of the EU and the “international rules based order.” That’s why many conservatives are turning to other news services.

@wildwelshpete @Cai_ParryJones There is also more traffic now, and more to come. It will only get worse, adding more lanes just won't work. It's been tried in many locations and failed every time. Very counter intuitive.

Cardiff residents spend hours of their lives stuck in traffic thanks to poor infrastructure decisions. Here’s a great example on Station Terrace, where motorists are forced to wait in traffic next to an empty cycle lane at rush hour. Next year we have a chance to elect a Reform Council and make our city better for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.

@wildwelshpete @Cai_ParryJones You think a 2 lane traffic Jam is better than 1? They all go down to 1 at some point. The only answer is to reduce cars on roads, that's true for any city. Cycle lanes and public transport do just that. Take a look at where more lanes have been added, they just get more cars.

@LexiBeaChorlton @Nigel_Farage Until he comes clean about the £5 million he's not even fit to be an MP. "It's none of your business" just isn't good enough. So much for being transparent. He complained about Starmer's specs like it was a big deal. Hypocrisy as usual from a typical grifter.

I feel that @Nigel_Farage is one of the best politicians around Ten years ago he upset a load of stuck up, arrogant, establishment remainers and they've cried about Brexit ever since Even better is that he'll be PM by 2029 and deliver the Brexit we truly wanted, imagine those establishment tears 😂 This man is rightfully due his place in number 10 Downing Street

@Queenshandbag1 It should concern you. Any corruption in government should. If it's not corruption then he should be open and honest. His reply of " It's none of your business" just isn't good enough. Unless he is corrupt of course.

Nigel Farage’s £5 million bung? Who cares? Not me. I don’t lose sleep over things that don’t affect me or other people’s private business. But journalists with nothing better to report just 24 hours after the PM quits are obsessing over this while a career politician gets shipped in, absent from the 2024 manifesto, elected by just 0.03% of the country? Now we’re lumbered with this stranger. That affects me. That offends me.

@KEdge23 She has quite the challenge after your mates in the Tory party almost crippled the national debt, doubled even before COVID. And they managed that while giving us the joy of austerity. She's doing far better than your lot did and with so little.

I won’t shed a single tear when Rachel Reeves is sacked. Good riddance. She’s a disgrace, who raised taxes on working people, stole from pensioners, increased unemployment and destroyed the economy. All Labour MPs supported her decisions, but she deserves to be thrown out.

@HTTP4181 @LlyrPowell I agree with you but there must be more help for SMEs the backbone of this country. WG Senedd is run by politicians who have been on gravy train of public purse. They gave little idea about growing business. Wales has more working bankrolled by public purse this balance is wrong

The Welsh Gov spent millions on 20 overseas offices in places like Beijing, New Delhi, and Brussels. £8.1 million last year alone on “international relations” a non-devolved power. Reform says put Wales first and END overseas spending from devolved budgets.

If a General Election was held today, Reform UK would claim a landslide victory. Nigel Farage would be Prime Minister. Andy Burnham won't call an election for one simple reason: He knows what the result would be.

Reform demands an election, and we are ready to deliver radical change. If Labour thinks it can shove another professional politician into No 10, it has another thing coming. Read my second essay to Britain. 👇

Wes Streeting has endorsed Andy Burnham to be the next prime minister. It means he’s been promised a plum job. The next Labour government will be just as corrupt as the last. The public lose. We need a general election.

There’s always a tweet. Labour have done nothing that they promised. They lied their way into power and have betrayed the nation. An incompetent and rotten government. We need to start demanding a General Election at the end of this Labour leadership saga.

Am I ‘bitter’ 👇that Labour won an election with no plan, no decency and a lot of coverups. No, I’m concerned for our country. But democracy is democracy and people are just as free to vote against something as they are to vote in favour of something else. That is how it works. And I can’t see people voting en masse for a Labour victory in the near future, which gives me hope that it won’t be too late to save our country. Oh, and I’ve stood for election three times and been elected once. That’s hardly “too scared to put [myself] on a ballot paper”. And I am not, and have never been, a member of Reform. But the left don’t like facts.

There is no Labour MP capable of being Prime Minister, Chancellor, Foreign Secretary, Home Secretary, or any other Cabinet member. Labour MPs are incompetent. They’ve wrecked the economy, raised taxes, lost control of the streets, and are putting British lives at risk. They all supported Keir Starmer until they thought he was putting their jobs at risk. It’s always Labour before the country. Enough.

This is a great point by Mike Tapp. If Andy Burnham becomes Labour leader and then Prime Minister without a general election, millions of British voters won't have voted for him, or even know who he is. That's not how democracy should work. A change of Prime Minister through an internal party coup should automatically trigger a General Election.
Ben Graham tweet media
Mike Tapp MP@MikeTappTweets

Is it time to legislate; if a change of leader is forced by its own Party then a General Election must be called. That would stop the constant churn and focus all politicians on delivery, instead of work place politics. These endless ‘house of cards’ games would end and the country would benefit. Let’s legislate to focus minds.
