A FFB friend in Monsey once said he was jealous of me.
Because in his yeshiva , they taught him gemara , rashi , tosafos.
In my BT yeshiva , they taught us gemara , rashi , tosafos , Hashem loves you unconditionally , Hashem wants you to succeed and be happy , being happy is a mitzvah all by itself.

People don’t go off the derech out of intellectual reasoning even if they tell themselves that’s why they chose to. It’s almost always because they’ve had bad experiences at home, bad experiences in yeshiva/seminary, bad experiences with the community, or a mix of all three.
