Spoke to a teacher from New York. Makes $140,000/yr with a 10 month schedule. Retires in 2026 with ~ $90,000/yr pension + full health benefits. Traditional careers like this can be game changers. Why aren’t more people doing this?!

If you learn French you're one step away from Spanish. French people usually can understand Spanish if they speak slowly enough. Also learning French in France is not the same thing as learning it in Quebec. You might not be able to speak directly to France people. Quebec French is much more closer to old French then to what they speak in France nowadays. (And much less arabic... yes I'm serious)

This is why learning French language Is practically useless other than Canada (Quebec) and France It’s spoken largely in really low per capita income nations

Let me add something here that I am not sure many of us are even aware of: Netanyahu graduated from MIT at a speed that his profs called insane. After returning from the 1973 Yom Kippur War, he was a man in a hurry. He convinced his advisors to let him take a double & sometimes triple course load. He completed his 4 yr Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in just 2.5 yrs (including the war time) & followed it immediately with a Master’s from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

@kunoo I know folks who made their first million at age 21-23 and today are more or less middle class and technically broke in terms of debt. I think skill prevails over luck and lucky timing over a large sample size for sure.
