@alitlstrawberry As someone who had to leave med school due to health problems unfortunately this doesn’t surprise me. Doctors/med students are some of the most ableist people I’ve ever come across-both when I was a student and as a patient.

The student didn’t cite any sources for an essay for a scientific paper that required empirical evidence to support her point. The original article wasn’t even about trans people, but about gender stereotypes—tomboys, etc

@autistic_diaz Exactly. I literally had to leave my career due to health issues and don’t at all trust it to be done well in the show. It would be such a shame to lose Hen as a character as well. That would absolutely be the final nail in the coffin for me watching the show.

@arixanxim 2L twice a week. I was having awful GI issues (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc) that caused chronic dehydration and of out of control pots symptoms. While the infusions haven’t cured it, symptoms are improved with the infusions. Hope you are able to get the appointments you need!

@HeatherFunk_ Oh wow how often do you get them done? I have been trying to get them to refer me to a cardiologist for a while, especially after my ekg showed a septal infarction. they finally agreed to schedule me for an echocardiogram after I begged for the past several appts.

Are any of y’all on Medicaid and get saline infusions? My PCP is being really weird about prescribing them, giving me a new excuse every time I ask and most recently told me Medicaid wouldn’t cover them.
