I will state my position for the record: Louisiana CC Sequestration eminent domain statutes unconstitutionally divest landowners of property rights via improper private takings without true public purpose, grant special corporate privileges, and violate LA Constitution (plus 5th/14th Amendments). LA R.S. 30:1108 et seq. violate LA Const. Art. I, §4 (2006 amendment prohibiting private-use takings) and U.S. Const. 5th/14th Amends. by authorizing private corporations to expropriate landowner property for CCS pipelines/storage serving primarily private profit/tax credits, not traditional public use. I wholeheartedly agree! I made a 100% in my Con Law II class last semester on this very subject from a Con Law professor who is also a judge, lives many states away and has no skin in this game!
