Check out this adventurous bluegill from our acoustic telemetry study w/ @Shedd_Research! In a 15 day period, it swam throughout the South Branch & downtown portion of the Chicago River. Acoustic tags allow researchers to understand how fish respond to restoration initiatives.

I’m not sure about the “powerhouses”bit….but I’m very excited to see this book out. It was really great working with Jim Diana on this. And, we are really appreciative of a huge number of colleagues for reviewing various chapters and helping us improve on this third edition.

@shedd_aquarium researchers, @HookLab and @ILINSeaGrant are excited to kick off our study to better understand how fish respond to different river restoration activities in the Chicago River. Last week, 80 fish were equipped with acoustic tags that allow us to track movements.
