I’m looking for a study where someone has looked at accuracy on Raven’s matrices (or similar) items under extreme time pressure at the item level (not time pressure at the test level). I can’t find anything, but surely this study must exist?

@MishaTeplitskiy I have always assumed that the word "predict" does not imply causality at all. Is this field-dependent? I think Nick Huntington-Klein is an economist, and I’m a psychologist.

@HugoLortie @MishaTeplitskiy Everyday Language: People often do hear causal overtones: “Smoking predicts lung cancer” is often interpreted as “smoking causes lung cancer.”

It's quite amazing of how I can just paste 30-40 scientific studies into google ai studio and ask gemini to find a certain piece of information in them.
