@jscdavis I agree! Maybe the intentionality one needed in finding information in an encyclopedia or library led to more enagaged and critical information consumption than we have today.

Let the current vaccine misinformation and wide public mistrust be a reminder that it is a priority as scientists to disseminate our knowledge and findings to the public as much as possible. This should carry as much weight as landing your next grant or publishing a CNS paper.

I should add that in addition to being the cheerleader, I'm grateful for all those who have been mine. You'd be hard-pressed to find a scientist who hasn't benefited from a person who was in their corner during the inevitable hard times in science.
