Here's the part most people missed: the Online Safety Act does not apply to app stores or hardware manufacturers. Apple was not required to implement this, meaning they built it voluntarily.

‼️🇪🇺 The EU's new Age Verification app was hacked with little to no effort. When you set it up, the app asks you to create a PIN. But that PIN isn't actually tied to the identity data it's supposed to protect. An attacker can delete a couple of entries from a file on the phone, restart the app, pick a new PIN, and the app happily hands over the original user's verified identity credentials as if nothing happened. It gets worse. The app's "too many attempts" lockout is just a counter in a text file. Reset it to 0 and keep guessing. The biometric check (face/fingerprint) is a simple on/off switch in the same file. Flip it to off and the app skips it entirely.

I'm not really the peoples targeted by the steam machines and others steam hardware but i know peoples that might be interested and it's a shame that RAM and SSDs prices sucks RN for Valve...

@IITalionII @TechPowerUp Unfortunate for the Steam Machine, but you maybe able to install the Official SteamOS on AMD iGPU mini PCs or build / refurbished an desktop to work with BazziteOS, and you will have a console / home theater experience in the living room probably…

Yes cheaters must be banned but these prioprietary software with that kind of lvl of access are just ticking time bomb in term of security. So anyway if some games can't be played on linux, we are better without them.

@ZanzabarOsu @WootingKB @FNCompetitive @Fortnite As for troubleshooting and except if you are using specific hardware which might be not supported or have issues, you are good to go. Just need a way to revert back like snapshot if an update is broken (e.g. BTRFS, Limine). I never had issue on rolling release distros that way.

@IITalionII @WootingKB @FNCompetitive @Fortnite troubleshooting is going to occur with any distro, i understand hyperland is harder to use than most, but still with gaming especially you arent going to be able to hop into any game you want, nobody makes anything compatible with linux out of the box

@ZanzabarOsu @WootingKB @FNCompetitive @Fortnite If the user don't want to troubleshoot, there might be better option than choosing hyprland to begin with. It also depend on the distro used and not only the desktop environment. Some will begin on an ubuntu/fedora/arch based distro and have various exp depending on the distro.

@IITalionII @WootingKB @FNCompetitive @Fortnite yes i know linux exists i was switching to hyperland a couple weeks ago, i decided against it because nothing ever worked and if it did it needed more trouble than its worth in troubleshooting, no consumer wants to deal with that, even with all the benefits it comes with
