This song is written & recorded as part of the children's music project — 'A Native Tongue Called Peace' — initiated in 2015. For this song, @ImphalTalkies collaborated with a group of children at a relief camp in #Imphal West district, recording them at a makeshift studio.

#OneYearOfManipur | Here’s Chingya-gee Khangpokshang (Song from a Relief Camp) released today by Manipur’s folk-rock band Imphal Talkies in collaboration with the children from a relief camp in the Imphal West district. The song as stated by the band is a part of their ongoing project, 'A Native Tongue Called Peace'. As mentioned in their official YouTube channel, the project, initiated in 2015 aims to foster harmony among children from diverse ethnic backgrounds in Manipur. They have also stated that over six songs have been produced so far, showcasing the talents and voices of the young participants of Manipur.
