How did the Kukis set up a global audience to play victim to the world? A thread 🧵 In present-day India, if anything happens to anyone who belongs to the so-called minority, then things usually get heated, with one side driven by a political agenda condemning the BJP for their anti-minority stances. It can be true; it can be wrong. In such circumstances, the Kuki-Zo-Hmar fits the perfect narrative of a victimized people. Why? Dear @manipur_police @DelhiPolice, Manipur Violence hatemonger Prof. Uday Reddy has been seen in KWSD Activity Centre, Munirka, Delhi, on March 8, in the company of other well-known hatemongers. An FIR (attached pic 2) is already there in his name. Arrest this man to stop further enmity and divide between the ethnic communities of Manipur for long term peace in the state. The Kuki anchor clearly states "security reasons" for not naming Uday Reddy's X handle name (the platform he uses to spread hate) which means the Kuki org. In this discussion, the hypocrisy of this @HRHlenn is exposed. (Hope he is the same person) On one hand, he talks about honesty and sincerity and fighting disinformation, yet in the same breadth he picks one/selective instance to push forward his disinformation and cheap propaganda. On the issue of illegal immigration where he quotes a political statement by Ex CM Biren in India Today NE Enclave, when he said no illegal immigration in Manipur, while conveniently omitting hard official facts widely available as given below: 1. Letpao Haokip, the Kuki MLA Committee led report of 2023 who found in the first phase itself 1000s of illegal immigrants from Myanmar building villages in Manipur. 2. Assam Rifles report of entry of 100s of illegal in just 2 days. 3. UNHCR report of ~85,000 Myanmar nationals entering India since 2021. 4. GOI docs of settling Myanmar refugees of 1967/68 5. Paite groups representation to GOI stating they came from Myanmar. 6. Militant leader ZRA President Thanglianpau Guite who is a ex Myanmar MP. 7. ITLF's statements saying they don't recognise India Myanmar border and Chin Kukis ahouldnbe able to move freely. 8. Existence of a official association of Myanmar Kuki Refugees Association. Lying is one thing, but lying while appealing for sincerity and honesty is pathetic level of hypocrisy. It takes courage and honesty to confront uncomfortable truths, hypocrisy and cowardice to lie through your teeth. These people who mislead and engage in disinformation campaign are a barrier to community understanding and restoration of peace in Manipur. True...Without mutually agreed administrative demarcation (eg. clear sub district boundaries, joint councils or neutral adjudication of claims), the deal risks being seen as favoring one side, reigniting Naga Kuki friction... if autonomy empowers Kuki majority areas, Nagas may see it as encroaching on their claims or vice versa...

So this is what the so called “Kuki Zo negotiated political solution” meant... as conveyed by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh in his message to Nemcha Kipgen... This article from The Indian Express reports that the Central govt is in the final stages of negotiating a peace deal with Kuki Zo groups in Manipur... Key points: 1) the proposed deal is modeled on the recent Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA) pact signed with the Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation (ENPO), which grants a degree of autonomy to six Nagaland districts... 2) the deal aims to provide greater autonomy, financial authority & administrative power to the hill districts...means self governance within the state assembly framework...
