MCC Monthly Update - February 2026 February was a busy month for the Intersect Membership & Community Committee (MCC). Some of the main topics worked on included continued collaboration on the hubs initiative, updates regarding outreach, refinement of objectives for social media and education efforts, and work toward the finalization of the funding proposal for the new fiscal year. Committee members and volunteers continued collaborating on the plan for the revitalization of hubs. Discussion took place throughout the month to ensure a robust plan is formulated for optimal success of the hub effort. Other MCC objectives moved forward during the month of February included the completion and submission of materials for guidance in creating a standardized voice and structure for messaging representing Intersect across social media platforms. Additionally, a new member welcome and orientation page was created and submitted for final approval. Social media and education initiatives formed part of discussion at committee meetings throughout the month. Feedback from committee members helped to further fine-tune messaging and ensure social media posts align with the outreach and education mission of the MCC and of Intersect as a whole. MCC Open Office X Spaces were held each Monday of the month. This allowed opportunities for the broader community to ask questions directly to MCC members and volunteers, gain clarity on concerns, and discuss topics on the MCC agenda. Another significant subject of discussion and collaboration that continued in the month of February was work on finalization of the funding proposal. Feedback was requested and discussion occurred regarding refining the final proposal, optimizing the suggested areas for funding to ensure the highest possible effectiveness in the projected use of funds for various areas under the purview of of the MCC, and ensuring the proposed allocation of funds reflects the needs of the MCC throughout the upcoming fiscal year. Introduction to Intersect: Cardano’s Member-Based Organization Today more than ever before, the blockchain space is in the general spotlight. Attention on the Web3 and cryptocurrency space is coming from governments, enterprises, and individuals. Cryptocurrency legislation is now part of the regular conversation presented by legacy news outlets. Despite the increased attention from those unaffiliated with the blockchain space, the full spectrum of what Web3 communities like Cardano has to offer is often glossed over or even overlooked entirely. Although its native $ADA token plays an important role in commerce and governance, cryptocurrency is just one aspect of a much larger community with many working parts. Cardano has a developed, fully decentralized governance system. It even has a ratified constitution that is the result of collaboration by representatives of the ecosystem from around the world. Our ecosystem and its governance serves as a model with other blockchains learning from and adopting its tenets into their own ecosystems. Intersect is at the forefront, helping steer Cardano’s evolution. It is a member-driven nonprofit organization with a community-first approach. Decisions are not made in a hierarchical vacuum. Instead, every member gets a chance to use their voice and participate in shaping the ecosystem. This is decentralized governance in action. Initiatives where Intersect plays a role include: - Maintaining and evolving Cardano’s core technology. - Shaping the long-term roadmap of the Cardano ecosystem. - Giving the community a real say in direction. The power does not come from just one voice, but rather the intersection of many voices working together to strengthen the community as a whole. Cardano has always been about research-driven, peer-reviewed progress. This is the kind of collaboration needed to bring real, impactful change and strength to Cardano. If you’re an $ADA holder, builder, or believer, this matters. If you are already a member of the Cardano community, take some time to look more closely at the Intersect website. @IntersectMBO played a major role at the @MidnightNtwrk Japan Tour 2026. @OfficialKavinda , Intersect Board Member and Founder & CEO of @IntersectSriL , took center stage at each stop to talk about how Intersect is scaling without centralizing. He showcased how integrating significant partnerships such as the one with Midnight is achieved without fragmenting the ecosystem. The partnership between Midnight and Intersect serves as a signal showing how the relationship helps fortify both Cardano and Midnight. Membership and Community Committee (MCC) Monthly Update January was a busy month for the Membership and Community Committee (MCC) as it took action on new year objectives. Some topics on the agenda included the launch of an initiative to re-invigorate hubs. This is projected to continue into the coming months. The MCC is also actively forging relationships with individuals from other blockchains including those that are involved in Cardano privacy partner chain, @MidnightNtwrk , providing education about the Cardano ecosystem, and guidance and onboarding of individuals into membership in @IntersectMBO. Furthermore, the MCC is engaging with founders building on Midnight and assisting in formally onboarding them as Intersect enterprise members. This effort includes educating project founders about the benefits of belonging to both the @Cardano and Midnight ecosystems and ways Intersect can serve as a support system.
