Two UNIFIL peacekeepers were tragically killed in south Lebanon today, when an explosion of unknown origin destroyed their vehicle near Bani Hayyan. A third peacekeeper was severely injured, and a fourth was also hurt.

According to reports in Lebanon not only were the journalists targeted in a double-tap attack by the Israeli military, two civilians who tried to help them were killed in a third strike.

Lebanese rescuers told me that 2 civilians were killed in a double-tap attack as they tried to rescue the 3 journalists killed by Israel yesterday. Mohamed Daher & Mohamed Oneissi stopped after 2 strikes hit the car to help those inside, only for a 3rd strike to kill them both.
