@PerspectivePub1 @REstepLit I agree. It’s not something you can go blind into, it’s just about the manuscript, there’s so much more that goes into! And more importantly, not kicking off when it doesn’t go your way or throwing in the towel!

@JackHAuthor @REstepLit Some people just aren't at the level needed yet. Spending time in the trenches helps by: a) writing a lot b) improving in the craft and learning at least enough humility to accept professional feedback c) learning the business of and what is required to successfully publish

Indie pub is a very respectable path and if it is what is best for your work, amazing! You get all the control. If Trad press is your goal, there are rules and expectations to follow that are part of that package. Both are valid. Choose the path that makes your heart sing.
