ACTOR. AUTHOR. STORYTELLER. Over the years I’ve been fortunate to work across film and television, portraying a wide range of characters in productions including Shadow and Bone (Netflix), Typist Artist Pirate King, Ballistic, Dig Me No Grave, Spring Lakes, and Exile: The Chosen Ones. In 2024, I was honoured to receive the Best Supporting Actor Award for my role in Dig Me No Grave. I also have more than 15 years in the funeral profession, including work within the Coroner’s Office. That experience continues to inform the authenticity, depth, and realism I bring to character-driven roles. Alongside acting, I’m also a published author. My debut novel, This Thing: John’s Story, is available now on Amazon under my pen name R P Marie. As always, I’m open to conversations about future projects and collaborations. 🎭 Spotlight Profile: app.spotlight.com/0536-7832-4629 🎬 Showreel: youtu.be/ghD8TU45eqk?si… Representation: TAGA Management Ltd Tracy Guest Agent@tagamanagement.com #JamesJaysenBryhan #Actor #ScreenActor #CharacterActor #Film Television Netflix ShadowAndBone IndependentFilm Author Storyteller Casting

People often ask why fans still care so much about Stargate after all these years. The answer is simple. It was never just a TV show. Behind every episode were writers, actors, directors, crew members and thousands of people who poured their hearts into creating something special. They gave us stories that made us laugh, think, dream and escape for an hour when life got tough. For me personally, Stargate was always more than entertainment. It was comfort during difficult times, something to look forward to, and a world I could disappear into when I needed a break from reality. But what makes Stargate truly special isn’t the ships, the aliens or the gate itself. It’s the people. The people who created it. The people who brought the characters to life. And the fans who have kept the franchise alive for nearly three decades. Every like, comment, repost and message I’ve received over the last few days reminds me that behind this campaign are real people with real memories and real stories. That’s why #SaveStargate matters. Because this has never just been about a television series. It’s about what that series meant to millions of people around the world. And the world and universe needs to be part of more … a lot more Love and respect @BaronDestructo @MichaelShanks @rachel_luttrell @iamchrisjudge @martingero and the cast and crew over those magnificent years .

Fair point if you don’t like the artwork, but the only thing added to that image is me front and centre as a show of support for Stargate and as a lifelong fan. The Stargate SG-1 artwork itself wasn’t created by me and isn’t AI-generated by me. It’s promotional artwork that’s been used by Stargate themselves. My post was really about the incredible support behind #SaveStargate and showing that fans, cast, crew and creatives still care deeply about the franchise. That’s the story I was trying to tell.

The response to #SaveStargate has been incredible. Fans, cast, crew, creators and people connected to the franchise are all making it clear that Stargate still matters. Seeing support from @BaronDestructo, @MartinGero and so many passionate fans gives me hope that this story isn’t finished yet. As both a lifelong Stargate fan and a professional actor, I’d be honoured to be part of the journey WHEN Stargate returns to our screens. Until then, let’s keep making some noise. The gate is still open. Let’s see what’s out there!! #SaveStargate

His Smile: Mick’s Story . Available now for pre-order amzn.eu/d/04QUj1SP Mick’s story is, at its heart, a story about men’s mental health. It is about a good man living in a time when men were expected to be strong, keep going, and never talk about what was happening inside their heads. Set against the backdrop of working-class Birmingham in the 1970s, Mick’s struggle is one that many men from that generation would recognise, even if they never spoke about it. Mick has everything society tells him should make him happy. He has a loving wife, loyal friends, family, steady work, and people who genuinely care about him. Yet despite all of this, he finds himself carrying a growing sadness, emptiness and sense of failure that he cannot understand. There is no obvious reason for how he feels, which only deepens his confusion and shame. What makes Mick’s story so heartbreaking is that he is not a man who gives up on life. He keeps showing up. He goes fishing with his friends. He laughs in the pub. He goes to work every morning. He smiles. The people around him see the smile and believe he is alright because, in those days, that was often all anyone looked for. But behind that smile is a man fighting a battle he does not have the words to explain. In the 1970s, conversations about depression and mental health were rare, particularly among working-class men. Many were taught that struggles should be endured, not discussed. Asking for help was often seen as weakness, and emotional pain was something to be hidden rather than shared. As a result, countless men suffered in silence, feeling isolated despite being surrounded by people who loved them. Mick represents those men. His story is not just about one individual’s struggle. It is a tribute to a generation who carried invisible burdens without understanding what they were carrying. It is about the fathers, brothers, husbands, sons and friends who smiled for everyone else’s sake while quietly losing a battle within themselves. Above all, His Smile reminds us that we never truly know what another person is going through. Sometimes the warmest smile can hide the heaviest heart. #HisSmileMicksStory #MensMentalHealth #ItsOkayToTalk #BreakTheSilence #YouAreNotAlone #MentalHealthMatters #CheckOnYourMates #BehindTheSmile #HiddenStruggles #TalkSaveLives #July1Release

The response to #SaveStargate has been incredible. From fans, from people involved in building Stargate such as @BaronDestructo and @MichaelShanks, and from a worldwide—even intergalactic—audience, the message is the same: Stargate still matters. Decades after it first aired, people are still watching, discussing, sharing memories and introducing new fans to this universe. That kind of passion can’t be manufactured. It has to be earned. The gate is still open. The fans are still here. #SaveStargate Yes that’s me in the pic 😘
