The fact that not a lot of people understand the implications of this strike is baffling. Make your papa get stroke and una no get money to go cardiocare or cedar crest hospital first, na then the gbedu go enter body. I pray Nigeria doesn’t happen to anyone. Amen.

NARD is not even asking for anything new, they are fighting for PROMISES ALREADY MADE AND BROKEN. Our doctors are being owed ​Months of salary/allowance arrears, many are made to work in very unholy conditions. When the strike starts, people might turn on the doctors and make them the enemy, meanwhile, the FG who should be held accountable thrives on the sidelines, meanwhile this strike is a symptom of a dangerously SICK HEALTH SYSTEM. Healthcare has always been costly, very expensive actually, but the government needs to show the people that it cares about their healthcare and make sacrifices, explore other funding options for our healthcare. You can't expect a healthy country if you treat your doctors anyhow.

Every health care worker should understand antimicrobial stewardship&master it. Because in settings like ours, the line between care and resistance is dangerously thin

I genuinely think we need to discuss ways to curb this health crisis in our environment. Antibiotics should only be taken when necessary. Consult your doctor before taking any antibiotics.

In low-resource settings where culture and sensitivity results are often delayed, the burden on health workers is even heavier. We can’t afford guesswork. Every prescriber should gain mastery in rational antibiotics use. It’s one of our strongest defences against resistance.

@KcMykel @PirfaJJ I also think that health care workers should be familiar with anti microbial stewardship, if possible master it. Considering the fact that we’re in a low resource setting and hardly wait for culture and sensitivity results.

For some of us, our problem is that we’re unable to see people (and sometimes situations) for what they can be. We only see them for what they are (at the moment). We must learn to discern what people (and things/situations/circumstances) can be, despite what they look like. 1/

Let’s pray for the grace to be wise and discerning . We should pray that God will enlighten the eyes of our understanding, so that we can see people and things for what they can become and not just what they seem to be. 5/

For situations, it is that we’re unable to see God in the situation, or unable to see the big picture, unable to see the diamond in the dirt, the beauty in the ash. 4/

Some of us, God has brought us into proximity to greatness(in people form)but we’re too blind to see and too distracted to discern. It may have been a classmate, friend, family, roommate, colleague, employee, student, etc. 3/

For people, we need to learn to see greatness in seed form, irrespective of what they look like, what they have or don’t have, their current status in life. We should see people for what they can become, not just what they are. 2/
