The FDA’s @US_FDA’s decision to grant Sinopep “Green List” status is not just a public health failure. It is a direct threat to American national security. A 2023 Pentagon study found that 27 percent of ALL United States military drug purchases depend on Chinese suppliers. Twenty-seven percent. That means over one quarter of the drugs purchased by the U.S. military come from China. This is a leverage point that Beijing could exploit in the event of a conflict with the United States. We actually saw this play out during the COVID-19 lockdowns. This is not speculation. China’s 2020 Export-Control Law and 2021 Biosecurity Law grant Beijing broad authority to weaponize pharmaceutical exports. According to a detailed analysis, it has been found that China could leverage their control over US drug supply chains during global conflicts for the purpose of targeting the US military. Companies like Sinopep, which are structurally controlled by the Chinese Communist Party are legally obligated to comply with any request from Chinese intelligence. Indiana has already recognized this threat. The Indiana Public Retirement System added Sinopep to its Restricted List in June 2023, banning the state pension fund from investing in the company, citing its ties to the CCP and the Chinese government. Indiana figured this out, so why hasn’t the federal government? Why is the FDA @DrMakaryFDA still allowing a CCP-controlled company with espionage-linked executives and a fraud conviction to ship pharmaceutical ingredients to American pharmacies and American military facilities?
