@JeromeMBesson

Born in colonial Madagascar, sown my wild oats on martial law era Taiwan, enjoyed the Taiwanese dream of settling in Japan where I had a home, once.

@LamLaw1969 @QuantStyle2 @Reuters In keeping with Truman’s June 27, 1950 declaration on the situation on the Korean Peninsula and on the neutralization of the Taiwan Strait, the US has the sovereignty of Taiwan in trust since 1952. The US is keeping tabs on both Chinese and “zaitais” (在台) Chinese.

@JeromeMBesson @QuantStyle2 @Reuters Still, it is the common position adopted by all n sundry for 50 years before the separatist DPP started a new narrative in order to secede Taiwan from China but it hasn’t succeeded yet. Separatist DPP will be the first to be clobbered, assuming it still retain power after 2028

@LamLaw1969 @QuantStyle2 @Reuters The common position adopted by KMT, CPC, UN and 193 countries leads to a dead end. It has a blind spot in its rear-view mirror, SFPT article 2(b) crafted by John F. Dulles for the US. Ignoring SFPT has its drawback. China is sure to be clobbered with it when pushes come to shoves

@JeromeMBesson @QuantStyle2 @Reuters The 1945 Japanese instrument of surrender did retrocede Taiwan n other stolen territories to China. SFPT did not override the 1945 treaty, which is why the KMT, UN and 193 countries reject DPP’s post-1990 secession narrative. That explains the context of the 1972 US Communique.

@LamLaw1969 @QuantStyle2 @Reuters 2/2 - Japan formally gave up its claims in 1952, but no cession to the ROC (or later the PRC) appears in the SFPT. A separate 1952 Treaty of Taipei (between Japan and the ROC) simply acknowledged the renunciation without transferring sovereignty.

@LamLaw1969 @QuantStyle2 @Reuters 1/2 - CKS accepted the Japanese surrender in Taiwan on behalf of the Allies and began military occupation. Under international law principles of belligerent occupation, military occupation does not transfer sovereignty. The 1945 handover initiated occupation, not a formal cession

@QuantStyle2 @LamLaw1969 @Reuters 蠢货, that’s a lie and you know it. That is why you are reposting that crap. Any UN pronouncement on Taiwan is worth zilch if it is not guided by the September 8, 1951 San Francisco Peace Treaty available from the UN archives. Article 2 (b) failed to cede Taiwan to any China.

@JeromeMBesson @LamLaw1969 @Reuters The reality to understand. Taiwan is part of China. It is not recognized as a country by the international community, which is why there is no embassy of Taiwan in the US and elsewhere. 🇺🇳 UN: Taiwan is a province of China.

@QuantStyle2 @LamLaw1969 @Reuters Ignoring the repercussions of SFPT article 2(b) on the post-WWII Taiwan status causes the blind spot that allows you to hog the conversation thread, claiming “Taiwan is part of China”. @grok What's the real deal with UNGA Resolution 2758 ? Check this thread.

@LamLaw1969 @QuantStyle2 @Reuters The background to understand 《

You are not literate enough in the English language to understand what that sentence means. And ignoring the San Francisco Peace Treaty article 2 (b) does not help you see the light, Japan-hating Chinese shǎdiǎos (傻屌, dickheads) and shǎbīs (傻屄, cunts) that you all are。
