@wholemars I don't believe idiot proof is possible because the universe keeps producing bigger idiots (and puts them in positions of power).

@B_doong2daddy Agreed. Superchargers in (or very near) state and national parks would be really great.

I met this family drove a gasoline truck from Nashville to Texas state park, He said there was a certain period where no gas stations at all and he barely made it I have peace in my mind with my Cybertruck because of plenty of superchargers But it will be nice to have superchargers in state/national parks

@elonmusk Sure is--except when they take it away the way they did in 2.9.1. Brought my FSD usage down from 99% to 98%.

Most of my Tesla's miles are trip miles. The average trip is 2,000 miles, typically done in two long days plus some local driving in between and camping with no charging at or near the campsite, so it's not possible to camp more than one overnight stay as often campsites are not that close to Superchargers. 500 miles EPA means 300 miles range in real world driving (e.g. not 55 mph). I was very disappointed when the auxiliary battery pack for the Cybertruck was removed. Yeah, taking up cargo space wasn't great, but it would sure have been a real boon for those of us who camp.

Unless you’re driving 500+ miles per day, you don’t need an EV with that much range. The average person drives around 37 miles per day. Current Tesla offerings provide way more than enough for the vast majority of people. On road trips, I can usually only drive about two hours before I need to get out, stretch my legs, etc. During that time, my car charges. It’s not the inconvenience people think it is. It doesn’t make sense to lug around a huge battery when most people don’t actually use that capacity.

When Tesla’s get to 500 miles per charge; I’ll think about one. BTW there’s an app that allows Waze to work. 🙄 #thinkIdontknow? 🥱😑

@elonmusk I use Grok a lot, but I don't use it for regular queries because when I just want a list of links, it gives way more information than I want.

@BastianBraun121 Camera cleaning should have been done years ago. Every Tesla owner has been asking for it--especially the rear camera.

@DevinOlsenn Nothing will help mass media in their quest to stop Tesla. They just can't stand it that Tesla is successful without spending $150M to $200M per year on advertising.

I hate that despite this clarification I know that I will have people in my life come up to me and say "Did you see that video of the cybetruck crashing on FSD?!" The self-driving overlay needs to be baked into dashcam footage by default - it would help so much with this type of misinformation.

@rhensing I'm afraid all that will do is just encourage people to not get FSD. After all, many people said "I have Autopilot, so I don't need FSD"

🚨 Possible bad news for #FSD in the Netherlands. Rumors are circulating that the possible RDW approval date has shifted from March 20 to April 10. Sources (incl. someone who spoke to a Tesla NL manager) say tests are going very well and RDW is satisfied overall, but they provided Tesla with a list of improvement points, and gave until April 10 to address them. Others heard directly from RDW that March 20 isn’t feasible. Important; This is NOT official yet. Let’s wait and see what happens on March 20 first. But we should prepare for the possibility of a few more weeks delay. Also, FSD ride-alongs in other countries have been extended to April 30, likely connected to this timeline. Fingers crossed for good news soon. 🤞🇳🇱🇪🇺🧿 #Tesla #FSD #TeslaEurope #RDW

Then get rid of the gerrymandering. The voter ID thing is a made up issue (mainly used to block certain people from being able to register) because you have to provide identification when you register to vote. Paper ballots with human counters can easily be invalidated if the counter doesn't like the way a person voted (this actually happened in Florida. They didn't like the election outcome so they counted and many ballots were invalidated as "spoiled" to change the election results.

@Geo_Pelton @DirtyTesLa It's under WiFi. Basically, I had to connect to Starlink to fix the "Self Driving will be available in the next release". I was surprised when there was no FSD available because it's been working for a long time and Monday morning it wasn't there.

They would have to design all new vehicles. It's not just about adding a few cameras. Their vehicles are built around the supplier chain which has a chip or two for each function all from different manufacturers cobbled together. This doesn't work with FSD where it needs to control every driving function.

🚨 Tesla to build $4.3B battery plant in the U.S. Tesla and LG Energy Solution will build an LFP battery cell factory in Michigan, with production starting in 2027. The cells will power Megapack energy storage systems made in Texas. This strengthens Tesla’s U.S. supply chain, lowers costs, and supports rapid growth in its energy business, which is already becoming a major profit driver. $TSLA

All those on your list seem fine to me. It's better routing in local areas that's the real problem. 1. Avoid unrprotected left turns when a similar distance protected turn (or no turn) is available. 2. Avoid narrow, cars parked on both sides roads when a wide, few parked cars road is available--even if its a few metres longer. 3. Prefer roads with traffic lights compared to stop signs. (some route choices add a significant amount of time taken to get on a busy road when there is a stop sign compared to when there is a traffic light.) 4. Many side roads have the same speed limit (30 mph in my area) as wider roads when the practical speed limit is half that due to narrow road and cars parked on both sides. The car should know this and no just use the speed limit for calculating. 5. Have the driver be able to set preferred routes for frequent local drives (which would cover 1, 2, 3, and 4). It should be possible to do this with Grok, but I've had zero success so far.

🚨 What improvements would you like to see Tesla make with the next Full Self-Driving version? For me, it's going to be: ☑️ Better parking ☑️ More assertiveness at intersections ☑️ Better speed reduction when entering slower Speed Limit zones

Fun Fact: You'll never drive a Cybertruck and be disappointed. This is Tesla's best vehicle yet. If you own a gas or electric car and drive a Cybertruck, you'll end up wanting one. It's just that good. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. 📐
