The perps problem on Solana isn't just microstructure. It's that execution costs are unhedgeable. Priority fees and tips spike at the exact moment makers need to cancel fastest. Costs go up when risk goes up. We can fix it.

no one is expecting perps on solana to take off but it’s the only eco apart from hype that can pull it off top teams on solana are ex citadel, jump, jane st etc and are killing it on spot execution for sol, eth, btc on solana perps are next

big personal news: first off, Ethereum is dead second, i am now Special Situations at @SolanaFndn. my mandate is mega deals that will drive max value why solana? > the most engaged userbase in crypto with the highest take rate per volume (more than hype coinbase binance) > foundation is very lean and full of killers > other chains dont need me. ethereum is fucked (stuck in communism) and hype’s perp game is mature. solana is perfect for me to have fun and get shit done what will i do at solana: > bring 10B TVL to solana i’ve brokered 1-2B before and wanna up my game. if you are a large TVL provider, we have super scalable fixed yield products at 7-8% in a tradfi setup dm me > help grow RWA perps on solana hype done a great job with oil, gold, nasdaq perps and we will take it further if you are a serious crypto/tradfi market maker in rwa, we have the distribution and open to deals dm me what motivates me personally: first off, I am doing this for glory. I want to come in and be instrumental in growing trading activity and onchain tvl. second, I want to be relevant again. Crypto is going to find out the hard way that it's horribly behind when it comes to risk modeling (I'm a former credit quant...the field is behind what the state of the art was 20 years ago). It'll learn one blow-up at a time. Want to make a fortune in defi? Create a dashboard that shows DV01 (to offchain rate moves), JTD (pivoted by underlying asset), correlation delta (for correlation across assets)...and for fuck's sake, time to have a tradable credit spread for vault curators and asset issuers (to both model counterparty risk and hedge against it). We're in caveman-land right now. Crypto's general tendency to YOLO everything just isn't good enough anymore.

The answer is an AMM. But a better AMM purpose built for rate markets. Better capital formation and efficiency. Better trader execution environment. Predictability and reliability win.

@jsblair @0xZergs Rate swap trade unlock is HUGE, and the question is should rate swap products use an orderbook (like boros) or AMM I been trading on boros and the liquidity is very thin (i don't know where market markers can hedge their positions)
