@rajd_singh @Decaturish Explaining they're "fireworks" to my 6 and 3 year old is a lot of fun - and our house doesn't even back up into the apartment complex. The houses that DO back up to them have young kids around the same age. Some have gotten hit by the gunfire.

Hey @Decaturish - Wondering if daily gunshots from automatic rifles in Avondale Estate's backyard is newsworthy. Bullet holes in our neighbors' houses, people fleeing onto our street. Our neighborhood feels like a warzone.

@VirtueOfNothing In 2018, we removed a tick from my 4-year old in Kansas City. Within days, he developed this rash. I took him to @ChildrensMercy urgent care where the doctor told me “there was no Lyme in the Midwest” per a CDC map and sent home with a $500 bill. Had to call my PCP the next week.

A good friend phoned the GP for a bullseye rash (example image) following a tick bite this morning, and they got 'referred' to a pharmacist by the receptionist. They prescribed an antihistamine. I guess this is the excellent state of our primary care, yeah?
