@BringBackBanjoK The controls were what made Zero special and stand out, without them its just a squeaky-clean version of 64 with worse levels and story beats. The new Star Fox is brave and gritty. The best the cast have looked since the Gamecube games. I hope Velan Studios makes the next one too

Gosh Star Fox Zero really is the best these characters will ever look. They absolutely nailed every aspect of Zero except the off putting controls. With renewed interest in the series, I would love to see a Switch 2 port that fixes the controls. The game deserves an audience.

In the UK, Star Fox on Nintendo Switch 2 sold almost double what Star Fox Zero did during its opening week (physical sales only). Sales are also up about 70% on Star Fox 64 3D (Nielsen IQ data)

Star Fox’s Battle Mode is super fun. I love the concept and it has great potential! The one thing I hope for is more maps to be added. Three just isn’t enough. If they can create a map based on all 16 mission areas (or at least like 10 of them) it will be chef’s kiss perfect. 🤞

@WolfMoon35 @TenuSkyforce @Frute_Brute To be honest I wasn't sure since I've been using the official camera that came with my console bundle, but after looking it up apparently some other USB-C cameras work with switch 2, but not all of them so worth investigating

Fox is in shock, he almost got trapped with the big brain and now his dad is there with explosions everwhere so his hearing is likely shot or disoriented. The new quiet music kinda implies that

@TuiterDePiyamas @lastchalice That intense rush to escape and avoid death is just moved to a new cutscene between the corridor and the Andross fight. My take on the newly added music was Fox seeing James takes precedence over the danger around him and makes him feel hopeful 1/2

Star Fox isn’t getting enough praise. - Revitalizes the franchise - Reimagines Star Fox 64 - Surpasses Star Fox 64 - Gives it AAA polish & presentation - $50 at launch I’m astonished. This is a Capcom Resident Evil level treatment for a remake. It’s all here & better than ever.

Star Ocean: Blue Sphere was released 25 years ago! This sequel to Star Ocean: The Second Story might very well be the most beautiful game on Game Boy Color. It got a mobile remake, but still never officially left Japan in either version. However, there's fan translations.

@horrorerik Hey man, I love your skit videos! If you're struggling with Solar I recommend ignoring the bird enemies and focusing on shooting the rocks as they drop recovery rings that'll help you get to the boss with most of your shields left

Playing the new Star Fox on easy mode and I have died on Solar like 5 times now, not sure what this says about me as a gamer

@MisterBright64 @lastchalice It feels better to play, looks gorgeous, adds modes, lots of lore, better multiplayer. 64 was my first SF game, but I've been playing this almost non stop and I don't think its a fair comparison. OG has some cheesy charm to it and will always love it, but remake easily surpasses

We actually see Fox struggle and fail to get out before seeing his father instead of screaming and doing nothing. James' ship fades off into the clouds instead of clearly disappearing, adding ambiguity. Love 64 btw!

@lastchalice “Surpasses” …. Yeah… no. It is a great game but beyond a ton of nit picks I could mention… the big ome really is the fact that it butchers the execution of the escape secuence with James

@CoachTugnut_BS @PlayerEssence It doesn't have that cheesy energy of the original and theres a few lines that are taken from the original that don't hit the same way, but most the lines are new ones and are delivered great. Overall very strong and I hope this cast returns

Completed my first run of Star Fox on Switch 2 and I can not stress how good this game feels: - Great graphics - Silky smooth controls & fantastic HD Rumble 2 - Awesome orchestrated music - Instant & addictive replay value - One of the best games on Switch 2, easily #freegame

General Pepper and an Arwing are both in Adventures. Command released in 2006. The multiplayer was one of the most highly praised elements of Assault. 64 has on foot multiplayer but no on foot missions made it into the final game. Star Fox Command still has free flight.

So I never played Star Fox 64 but always wanted to. I missed the 3DS version and now the Switch 2 version is out and looks incredible. Is Star Fox 64 worth the hype?
