@Homet0wnanthem Some content outright being cut, like the boss fight with U3. Some violence censorship like how Leon can’t get decapitated by the chainsaw anymore. Also some dialogue was censored, notably with Luis/Ashley and Ashley/Leon which recontextualises their dynamics.

@DarkFist_Flames I don’t have a ps3. I could emulate them on my deck most likely, but it seems easier to just play the vita ones as I have them right now. Unless I’d be missing out going by the vita ones?

@BringBackBanjoK If your going to play the whole franchise then play the vita version to appreciate the improvement they did with each game(better if you have the ps3 console to play all the main R&C games), you can play the ps4 version later since its a movie licensed game.

Yeah honestly the worst thing about how stale the last couple NSMB games got is that it tarnished the entire series, because that DS game still holds up as a top 3 2D Mario.

@BringBackBanjoK Is this a question about those specific games or franchise as a whole? Because if it's those specific games, PS4 remake. The Trilogy ports aren't bad but as you progress through them they have issues due to hardware. Franchise as a whole? I'd start with vita instead
