@GildedZ My biggest wish is that they’d include this in a remake of the first 2 games

@BringBackBanjoK Which you would think is the ONLY purpose of a remake or a rerelease. Imagine if XBLA version had THIS Cauldron Keep.

@Aurelius291 Usually around 15-20 Celsius for the end of may. It’s been 29 where I am today. Our houses are designed to keep heat in so it can get brutal.

@BringBackBanjoK What’s the average for the UK this time of year? It’s 80 degrees in the Midwest US now, but people are excited for it after cooler spring weather and rain. No AC yet, but come June probably. I love the fresh air and windows open, it’s the humidity that brings out the AC

@RareWarington @jiggylookback @CapnCrust I think Microsoft genuinely had good intentions when they bought Rare. They just didn't understand that Rare games weren't made for the xbox demograph. And Microsoft were too green in the console space to effectively manage them.

@jiggylookback It was especially weird that they didn’t step up, considering Rare had ownership of quite a few DK64 cast members. Nintendo nearly let Microsoft own Lanky Kong!

@Aurelius291 I mean, you’re right in a way. But rare has around 250 employees at the time the goldeneye team split off to do Time Splitters. It was a fairly significant part, but it was one of their many teams.

@BringBackBanjoK Granted, the Goldeneye dev team was a lot smaller. 9 of them was significant. I’ve read there was financial considerations on Nintendos end, they had reasons for it. I disagree with the move and I wish they maintained the relationship and the IPs access

Weird statement. Everyone knows games released at the end of a console don’t sell as well as early releases Despite that, Banjo Tooie [3 mil] & Perfect Dark [2.5 mil] still managed to be among the absolute best selling games on the platform Then SFA was a best selling GCN game
Chibi223@Chibi22395

I think the amount of people saying the Rare buyout is funny AF because even by the end of the N64, Rareware was showing the cracks in the armor that would lead to the mistakes they had a Microsoft. If anything, Nintendo dodged a bullet. Rare was past its prime imo 🤷‍♂️

@AVGN82 Can’t remember which team member it was now, confirmed Tooie sold “over 3 million” during interviews when rare replay launched.

@BringBackBanjoK Out of curiosity where are you getting 3 million from? The original was around that from what I can find, with Tooie around 1.5 million, which makes sense given what it goes for today

@Aurelius291 Prior to the buyout only about 8 or 9 goldeneye team members had left. Then around 30 left when Microsoft came in. The key talent was there and stayed there for a good while after the buyout.

@BringBackBanjoK I think what he’s getting at is that they were losing dev talent, some of the old school Rare devs had started to leave at that time. So that was noted as an area of concern at the time, that the studio wasn’t what it once was.

@UnderDreadMoons Only 12 GameCube games outsold it. Most of those being Mario games. It’s the last commercially successful Star Fox game.

@BringBackBanjoK People forget that Adventures outstold Resident Evil 4 til that got ported to PS2, and even then managed to sell 1.8m copies to RE4's 3.9m (in it's OG release before the various other editions like the Wii came along).

@MrSandDan Grabbed by the Ghoulies was essentially scrambled out the door in around 9 months after the buyout. It would have been a very different game on the GameCube.

@BringBackBanjoK I imagine Kameo, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, and especially Viva Piñata would’ve sold so much better on Nintendo. Banjo would’ve continued as an ongoing series, and Rare would’ve helped a lot during the Wii/Wii U era, when a lot of devs were skipping those platforms.

@YahyaStillGamin I criticise Nintendo plenty and I have no idea why you’re lying given that Miyamoto adored Rare.

@BringBackBanjoK I love how this account never actually gives a real criticism on Nintendo Blame this bs for having Nintendo to sell Rare Shigrui NoOneIsAllowed toQuestionMe Mayamoto He was the only one clashing with Rare

@SalazarCOficial @DoctorRaven2 This is just revisionism. Only a handful of goldeneye devs had left prior to Microsoft buying them. Vast majority had stayed and suffered through Microsoft’s mismanagement of the studio until the Kinect era.

@DoctorRaven2 @BringBackBanjoK They started leaving prior, actually. Many think they just left and formed Playtonic later on, but a lot of them joined different devs (ex: Free Radical) way earlier. Even if the talent left after Nintendo declined to buy them, that wouldn’t be Nintendo’s mistake.

@star_piIot i dont rank bananza as a 7/10, for me personally its a 6/10, but i could understand why someone gives it a 7/10 but im also over exaggerating
