Your take is unfortunately short-sighted and highlights a real lack of understanding of both micro (regime ideology and internal incentives) and macro (great-power alliances and deterrence) political pressures. North Korea isn’t a radical religious regime trying to impose Kim Jong-un as some divine figure on the world or launch a global holy war. It’s a dynastic personality cult laser-focused on one thing: regime survival. That’s why it’s kept in check by bigger players like China and Russia—who have zero interest in a nuclear war on their borders and would lose far more than they’d gain. Pyongyang knows full well that firing ICBMs at the U.S. triggers mutually assured destruction. End of story. Iran’s radical theocratic government is fundamentally different. Its ideology (not just survival, but exporting revolutionary Islam) places little value on human life—including its own citizens’ or even its leaders’—in pursuit of “martyrdom” and regional dominance. That mindset makes classic political pressure (sanctions, diplomacy, deterrence) far less effective because they don’t fear the same consequences the Kim regime does. They actively arm and direct proxies (Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis) that destabilize the entire Middle East in ways North Korea never has. This isn’t about “serving Israel in a land grab.” It’s about the very different nature of the threats: one is a contained, survival-obsessed hermit kingdom; the other is an ideologically driven actor that can’t be deterred the same way and actively spreads chaos through terrorism and proxies. Conflating the two ignores basic geopolitics.

@terri4436166795 @dpakman The hidden gem is that you can’t win even with redistricting if only American citizens are voters. And that’s what America’s citizens are demanding.

Trump and Republicans are suddenly realizing that if they lose the House in November, Trump’s presidency is effectively over, and they know that this is likely to happen. Trump is panicking. We need to make this outcome a reality.

We shouldn’t be spying on Americans without a warrant. It’s that simple. FISA was meant for foreign intelligence, not sweeping up your calls and texts just because you talked to someone who talked to someone overseas. I’m putting forth an amendment that would make the government obtain a warrant if it wants to look at Americans and use it to stop terrorism. @MariaBartiromo

I’ve been saying it for a long time, but now he’s admitting it: @TuckerCarlson hates Donald Trump. Right before our eyes, Tucker is turning into Ilhan Omar.
Laura Loomer@LauraLoomer

Tucker Carlson now says he regrets supporting President Trump and that it’s going to “torment him” for a very long time that he told people to support President Trump. Essentially, Tucker is saying he wishes @KamalaHarris was President. @TuckerCarlson edited a pic of Trump and Epstein together in the 80s into another version of this video clip and then he posted it on his social media. He did that while he was saying there were always signs that President Trump had low morality. Tucker Carlson has gone mask off, and it’s safe to say he is a Democrat. Tucker is basically saying he prefers weaponized government and open borders because that was always the alternative to President Trump. How can anyone running for office in 2028 continue to be friends with Tucker? Tucker needs to be isolated, ostracized and condemned daily for what he has become.

Thank you @BarackObama for everything you’ve done for our democracy. You know how you’ve been a masterclass in protecting it—first by helping orchestrate the Russia collusion hoax to undermine the legitimacy of Trump’s first administration, then with the Affordable Care Act that jacked up insurance costs for blue-collar working families by up to 147%, and now cheering Virginia’s elite gerrymandering that silences the voices of hundreds of thousands of American citizens who disagree with you. Proving yet again that only the ruling class knows what’s best for ‘our democracy.’

Universal income is socialism. I’m laughing so hard at the people saying “hey, I will able to do hobbies and whatever I want” you do realize that’s the same things people who want socialism think will happen and it’s not even close to reality. Whether it’s Mamdani’s or Elon’s plan, the outcome is the same. Why don’t people get this?

To confirm your point! The rich will get richer as they already can and will continue to buy now. So we will be looking at an extreme case of class separation. Greed will look the same if income is abundant—even for the “lower class.” The upper class will hold the monopoly on rental prices, prime real estate leases, and so on and so forth. Except only in the case outlined above will there be zero chance for class or status advancement; it will be generational. Non-owners will be subject to owners. The rich will get richer, continually driving up costs on all goods, all property, and any asset, leaving zero chance and zero path for class advancement. How this is not noticed or identified by some of the bright minds throwing this idea out there, citing that this is a good thing, boggles my mind.

🚨FORGET UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME.. WHAT’S COMING IS UNIVERSAL HIGH INCOME.. AND THE ECONOMICS ACTUALLY MAKE SENSE.. Here’s the part nobody is explaining properly.. Inflation happens when too much money chases too few goods.. That’s the textbook rule.. Print a trillion dollars and the amount of bread stays the same.. Bread gets expensive.. But what happens when AI and robots make the bread.. Not some of it.. Nearly all of it.. At near-zero cost.. Faster than humans ever could.. The supply of goods and services becomes so massive that even if the government sends everyone a fat check every month.. The robots are producing stuff even faster than the money is being printed.. More stuff than money means prices stay flat.. Or they actually go down.. That’s the deflationary offset.. And it breaks every economic model built in the last 200 years.. Think about what this means.. Right now you earn money by trading your time.. Your labor.. Your body.. That’s how it’s worked since the beginning of civilization.. But if robots do all the labor.. And they don’t eat.. Don’t sleep.. Don’t buy houses.. Don’t consume the things they produce.. Then somebody has to give humans the money to buy what the robots are making.. Otherwise demand collapses.. The economy dies.. Not because we ran out of stuff.. But because nobody could afford to buy it.. The government becomes the distributor of the robot dividend.. Not charity.. Not welfare.. A mathematical necessity.. But here’s where the skeptics have a point.. AI can write infinite code.. But it can’t create infinite land.. Or lithium.. Or fresh water.. If everyone gets a high income check and tries to buy a house in Malibu.. Those prices explode.. Because beachfront property is fixed.. No robot can manufacture more coastline.. If everyone spends their checks immediately on limited physical goods.. The speed of money moving through the economy could outrun the robots’ ability to extract raw materials.. And if high income is guaranteed.. Who takes the jobs robots can’t do yet.. Complex surgery.. Specialized plumbing in old buildings.. High-level diplomacy.. Those service costs could skyrocket.. So the real answer isn’t as simple as “robots make everything cheap”.. The real answer is.. AI creates a post-scarcity economy for digital and manufactured goods.. But physical scarcity still exists.. The future isn’t expensive bread.. It’s expensive land.. The thing that will separate the rich from everyone else won’t be income anymore.. It will be what you bought before the robots arrived.

Elon Musk@elonmusk

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

@DrRitaDed That’s definitely taxation without representation. Although the big-government party/Democrats already support taxation without representation and have successfully managed to keep minority races in poverty for decades.

“We'll have universal high income. We're basically just issuing money to people, and just because the output of Business Services will so far exceed the money supply, that effectively you have deflation, because deflation is just the ratio of the outputs of goods and services to the money supply. If the rate of growth of goods and services exceeds the rate of growth of the money supply, which I predict will happen, then you will have deflation.” - Elon Musk

@SpockResists I think you might have this backwards. I think the abuse of partner would be the one that’s been sitting on their couch, not paying their dues for the last 60 years while the US has been the only country financially carrying the load.

Can we just get one thing clear. The reason America lost its allies. Was because Trump actively destroyed every single relationship the US built since WW2 They didn’t suddenly turn their backs on US. They said fuck off to an abusive partner.

Every kid deserves a fair shot, no matter their zip code or how much money their family makes. Trump’s school voucher program puts that at risk by taking money out of public schools and giving to private ones. That’s not right, so I introduced a bill to repeal it.
