@WomblesDream I’m pro fan ownership for as long as we can and this will help go in that direction. I’m very happy with the vote. We still have a lot of work ahead of us

@WHADmedia To say it should have been 3 points is the understatement of the year. They were begging us to win and we couldn't convert. Maddening.

@charlesbofadeez @tomtimm I think it’s unlikely he will see the pitch before the World Cup break, and that’s ok because what he’s dealing with is infinitely more important. As for the “conversation”, it’s been had. There is enough depth there to get by for now for a team in rebuilding mode.

City SC update: Cordova on the field practicing, Totland has an abdominal strain and is still being assessed, didn’t practice today. Hartel back tomorrow. Fall, Ostrak, Lowen still not practicing

@WHADmedia Considering how poor we were on defense, lucky to get out of there with a draw. An ugly, wild match from both sides. Harbottle out conitnues to be maddening. Frustrated JJ won't sub earlier. #COYD

@MattBakerSTL @stlCITYsc @FlyoverFooty And there are 13 players that Wray/Damet will have to decide about exercising options on. That feels like a lot, and that there could be movement in the summer transfter window of players that wouldn't get an extension? What do you think? 2/2

@MattBakerSTL @stlCITYsc @FlyoverFooty Thank you for this. One big takeway to me seems to be that Sang Bin is the only player on the roster whose contract expires this year that doesn't have an option. (plus Teuchert this summer, option only to the end of the year) 1/2

The @stlCITYsc Club Roster Profile to start 2026 has been released along with all other 29 MLS teams. #AllForCITY notables: - 18/20 players on their senior roster, the minimum required. - 9/10 on the supplemental roster including Josh Yaro, Lukas MacNaughton & Ben Lundt - 7/8 int'l slots currently occupied - Sergio Cordova's permanent transfer terms are through the 27-28 season if his loan option is picked up this June - Tyson Pearce is again in the off-roster HG slot, meaning he is on a season-long loan to CITY2. - CITY has 8 players locked in through June 28 w/a total of 16 who have contracts or options through June 28.

@WomblesDream @DannyBaker1983 @JonathanAhl @ChipsFinch Great Pod guys, interesting to hear @JonathanAhl views on 50+1. Although I must point out playing youth players, not paying transfer fees and paying for loans in minutes was pretty much word for word our 21/22 transfer policy that got us relegated! Is JA the next Will Daniels?

I can't express how much fun it is to be on the pod. I strongly encourage other fans interested in joining @DannyBaker1983 and @ChipsFinch to drop them a note. It's a good time and talking about the team we love is great.

Some further context — and more thoughts — on what is admittedly a very niche topic that I don’t expect many people to care about. Switching from the 2 DP / 4 U22 model back to 3 DP / 3 U22 costs #AllForCITY $1 million in GAM. Based on what we know — and what we don’t know — his salary does not require DP status. Even with the loan fee included, it’s unlikely to reach the DP threshold. So there was no competitive or roster‑building logic behind moving from the 2/4 model back to the 3/3 model at this point in time. The decision appears to be purely administrative/accounting, and the practical effect is wiping out the Sargent GAM — plus additional GAM — for what ultimately amounts to roughly three months of availability and maybe 10 matches once the visa process and everything else are factored in. And if we’re going to keep hearing Wray talk about “flexibility,” about needing to wait until summer for meaningful moves, and about 2026 being a rebuilding/retooling year, then burning through GAM unnecessarily, when the situation does not require it, is just stupid. To be absolutely clear, this has nothing to do with Córdova or his talent level. It’s simply bad business and poor decision‑making to build up a GAM stockpile — selling Klauss, selling Sargent’s rights, etc. — only to unnecessarily burn a chunk of it on a three‑month rental that supposedly “maintain[s] the flexibility to our long‑term plans.” The plan, as stated publicly, is that the club is content not to contend in 2026. I disagree with that stance, but even if you accept it, this decision doesn’t "align" with the plan. Play these 12 games with Becher and McSorley and enter the World Cup break with every resource intact. Less GAM to buy down future players’ cap hits is not “maintaining flexibility.” It’s reducing flexibility and doesn't align.
Michael@ChatCityTactics

The DP status is whatever, but burning GAM just cuz is exactly what we've come to expect from this club.

@downtownstlbiz Hi @downtownstlbiz I'm working on a story for St. Louis Public Radio about SLU's year and am looking to talk to a current fan who was also around for the Spoonball era. Could you DM me?

This story I did is getting some attention. A fair amount fans of both teams think it is a bad idea. Maybe Mike Repole was just "thinking out loud", but this year 6 UFL teams will be playing in soccer stadiums, 4 of which are MLS stadiums. stlpr.org/sports/2026-02…

St. Louis City will receive $500k GAM + $200k GAM add-ons for the right of first refusal as part of Toronto’s deal to sign Josh Sargent. 1 of 1 situation. Not just discovery rights. MLS eliminated Allocation Order when STL came into league and allowed them to select one player to have rights for. They picked Sargent. Hence the big number.
Tom Bogert@tombogert

🇺🇸🔴 Sources: Toronto FC is now finalizing paperwork to complete their blockbuster deal to sign USMNT forward Josh Sargent from Norwich. Fee around $22m + add ons up to $27m. Huge addition for Toronto.
