I've been chipping away at Worked All States by band. Having just completed 17m, I have WAS confirmed for 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, and 6m.

I tried to activate NC. Thomas Wolfe Memorial State Historic Site US-6853 Had a very high noise floor being downtown Asheville and next to power lines. And GPS for Harmon Den Wildlife Management Area US-12662 tried having me get on a gravel road from I-40 that had a closed gate😢

It's been awhile since I've been able to play radio. I just activared Park US-5485 Harbison State Forest here in beautiful South Carolina. I plan to activate another park somewhere near Asheville NC in a few hours. Hope to catch some of you on the air.

@Chem_Coach I appreciate that you would have tried to get me in the log. I had to do a quick activation so I could get back on the road with a long drive ahead of me.

@K8BCR Listen for my call sin K3TEE. I hope to hunt you today, but it will have to be 40 m since we are so close.

I have so many different #radios that it is easy to forget even simple things like configuring a PL tone for a repeater. So, I saved the URL to an online owner's manual on an #NFC sticker. Every little aid helps. #RadioShack #HTX202 #hamradio

POTA Update: I've had the Kilo (1000 QSOs) award for San Isabel NF (US-4407) for a while now. Yesterday, I passed 1000 Qs for Pike NF (US-4404), for my second Kilo. These two national forests are close to my house, so I often activate them.

@N3QEH I used my 100ah battery box to run my refrigerator and my 20ah battery box to run fans, and my solar panels to kept them topped off. I'll take fans over radio all day long over playing radio when I don't have power in 90°+ weather I guess I could have said sorry family It's FD 🙄

@K2ET_WNY I've tried clubs around here in the past. They're not for me.
