While Arkansas will (likely) never see four feet of snow in one event, our state and local cities could surely take a few tips on how to clear snow and keep things running smoothly if we ever get 4 inches of snow…or eight inches of sleet.
Justin Michaels@JMichaelsNews

Come for a walk with me… Downtown #Truckee this morning under blue sky, bright sun, and more than 4 feet of snow since Sunday. Sidewalks carved into snow canyons, roads running like cattle chutes, and somehow… everything moving again. In most places, this much snow would shut life down. Here, it’s a snowblower symphony at sunrise and back to business by mid-morning. That mountain-town rhythm of dig out, help your neighbor, keep going. As this community gathers for Sunday night’s vigil to remember those lost in the avalanche, you can feel both the weight of the week and the resilience that defines this place. Winter at full strength. Truckee at its best. @weatherchannel is live ❄️

After 45 days of trying to pay my taxes to St. Louis County, they have finally been paid. Will not miss this circus.

@weatherninja My husband and I used a garden hoe to chisel away sections before we even began to shovel.

Normally right after a snow, I can use my backpack blower and clear the driveway. I was going to do that this morning but the layer of sleet on top of the mix of sleet and snow would not budge. That means, it's going to be a slow...slow...thaw. Sunshine will help but if the subfreezing temps are here throughout the week, this might take a while. I didn't even mention, the near zero temps in the morning. Yikes.

Measured 8” of near solid sleet at my house in Sherwood. There’s a drift of over two feet by our woodpile. Took off the cover to bring in wood for today only to find a perfect, near-solid, scalloped edge. #arwx @ToddYakoubian

WOW! I can barely open my back door because the sleet is piling up so high. It’s coming down off the roof and forming a huge pile in West Little Rock. #arwx ##ARStormTeam

Paralyzing 2 day event for Texas and the deep south on the way. Not as bad us 2021 but then again this may not be the last attack of winter. Given the warmth so far in Texas, a huge shock coming, Wonder if they are ready?

I lost my mom in July 2024. Dad, a near 30-year Veteran, joined her in August. He was a die hard @GreenWaveFB fan. He’d appreciate the #rollwave mention on his headstone at the Biloxi National Cemetery.

@ATT customer service reps are worthless. I closed my late parents internet account on 9/17. Six weeks later, their CC is still getting charged. Why is your CS so incompetent???

@ATTHelp Hell no. I’ve been in hell on the phone for 30 minutes. Whoever this company is outsourcing CS to is worthless. Your company makes it difficult to close an account even after death certificates are presented. It’s painful.

First week of October WAY above average for our region. Despite the brief break over the next few days, this does not change. #ARWX #ARStormTeam

@TSA Until your shoes set off the alarm in Little Rock which happened this morning and the lady had a complete meltdown when she was pulled aside for a full body check.

You still haven't heard that you can keep your shoes on through TSA screening? That's right, you're golden in standard lanes and TSA PreCheck lanes as long as your shoes don't alarm.

It’s a crazy August morning in central Arkansas. I’ve picked up 2.15” of rain so far this morning in Sherwood and I’m wearing a sweatshirt in August. Additional heavy rain is rolling through. It was quite messy on the roads with lots of ponding. Take it slow. #arwx
