One of the kidnappers who was arrested fleeing the scene is a member of Kataeb Hezbollah alhurra.com/en/17856 Jurf is a Kataeb Hezbollah stronghold, which the Iraqi government does not dare enter. The area was inhabited by Sunnis, ethnically cleansed by the militias in 2014 and prevented from returning ever since. In the area, KH established illegal oil refineries, factories for fake branded cigarettes, military HQs, storage facilities and torture prisons.
