@elisjames @nomadicrevery Fantastic to suddenly hear the route of my regular student pub crawl on your latest bureau. Starting from the Hare on the Hill, a few yards from my 1990s house.

@bbcradio3 @Ianskellyradio3 I’m getting Caroline Shaw string quartet vibes for the playlist. My son is a particular fan of Plan & Elevation - Beech

@MannGeorgia The only decent piece of Delius! Notes shorter than tied semibreves and everything. 😉

How are you getting on with Part 2 of this year's Christmas Quiz? You're probably finding it a bit trickier than the first part... buff.ly/4iBlBvc

@Ianskellyradio3 Can’t hear that Chopin without it being ruined/ enhanced by the Kit & the Widow rendition. “No plumbers left in Poland…”

@PetrocTrelawny With all respect to the orch of Opera North, this is not good news for the orchestra of Northern Ballet.

@dnleslie If it’s an ongoing series on a topic, please can I have a flip chart instead of a whiteboard, and a working pen? One off - don’t need anything thanks.

Teachers: Could you teach a lesson armed with only a single whiteboard pen and an empty whiteboard? No desktop, no technology. The pupils will have a jotter and a pencil. The lesson will last for 60 minutes. Please comment on why you gave your answer

@blablafishcakes @Wild_Womyn Also, not read all the replies, but I assume you’ve seen the thing going round “I identify as a perimenopausal woman and my pronouns are Try/ Me”

@blablafishcakes @Wild_Womyn Only been asked once, in a circle introduction thingy. Leader asked us to introduce ourselves with our names & pronouns. I simply gave my name. May have looked like I’d just forgotten 🤷🏻‍♀️. No one asked further & another 1 or 2 after me did likewise

@Ianskellyradio3 @BBCRadio3 As I expect you know, Josef Suk, son in law of Dvorak, won a silver medal for music in the 1932 Olympics with his march “Towards a New Life”. Gold was not awarded 🤔. How about something from his string serenade. Last movt is quite sporty!

It has been a long time since I’ve been able to watch the Prime Minister on TV without fear that the TV might not survive.

I haven’t lived in central Bristol for ages so sadly couldn’t vote for @ThangamDebb but she would have been THE BEST culture secretary. Hope they find someone who understands culture at her level, and hope she’ll enjoy more cello playing time.

@RichardBratby I saw these on Sunday 🤣 and asked my companion what, exactly, about sweet lime and cedar was meant to evoke Sir Bryn Terfel…

So apparently you can now buy candles that smell of a Donizetti comic opera and, er, Sir Bryn Terfel.

When the too soon & too sad death of a friend you’d kept meaning to meet up with but never quite managing, at least prompts you to meet up with another friend from the same time/ same group… So good to reconnect @Adam_Chamberln, and fill in some of those 30 something years!

Question for my birding friends: Swimming in a Cotswold lake (no camera) I passed a swimming bird/ duck? with black and white feathers (mostly black, white lower down) and a BLUE beak. Couldn’t see its legs as it was swimming too. What might it be? @LevParikian @VagueBirdAlert
