Photos of John are rare, but we managed to get one of him with his certificate after being shortlisted for the Lifetime Achievement Papin Prize! Unfortunately it's not the winner's trophy, but it's still an exceptional achievement! #HETS23 #PapinPrizes

Sadly it wasn't to be for John, but we're so proud of him for being shortlisted and for his contributions to Keele over his whole career. Congratulations to all #PapinPrizes nominees and winners! #HETS23

Today we're at #HETS23 for the technicans' summit - our technical manager John Clews is shortlisted for the Lifetime Achievement category of the #papinprizes, so fingers crossed 🤞!

We’re continually investing in our students’ future, including the biggest-ever investment in science on our campus. This includes our £34m Central Science and David Attenborough Laboratories - modern lab space used by students in their day-to-day laboratory teaching 🔬

Y11 students from Discovery Academy visited Keele campus for a full day of science skills including light microscopy and forensic chromatography in the @KeeleCSL!

Today we have a group of school students in for an outreach visit to do some forensic analysis on written notes and pharmaceutical drugs! @keeleforensics @Higher_Horizons

It's the last day in the lab for our project students today. They've put in lots of hard work over the year that they should be very proud of! We obviously needed cocktails as the lab clock background today as a celebration 🍹

What is the collective noun for technicians? A "troubleshoot of technicians" perhaps... Exciting times this morning as our brand new @Agilent QToF mass spec is unloaded!
