Our ballots are MIA. When we called again today, the woman said her son mailed his on the same day we did (October 17) and his is also MIA.
We have been offered remedy of going to courthouse to vote and they will toss our mail in ballots when/if they arrive.

This is why I criticize Cheney for this. Until now, her position was that the 14th Amendment mandated the protection of the unborn from conception! (congress.gov/bill/117th-con…) Now, she says that overturning Roe was “too far” because she’s sitting next to Harris on a stage.

You are not accurate. I landed there 4 days in a row. They had plenty of water . They had food. And I deliver more myself and people were in high spirits under the circumstances. We gave them cat and dog food few people had animals. Solar lights. Cleaning stuff. The team you see there is Urban rescue NY-1 that checked all area up and down the stream looking for people or bodies etc 18 of them and 3 dogs…@NationalGuard was there. Many young man and woman. What you describe is a lie. All those teams and people are @fema all are @WhiteHouse all are @RoyCooperNC and many NGO’s and citizens helping as well. You are doing a disservice to your fellow Americans. This has been a good response. More needs to be done? Agree….Let’s do it together….

I spent Tuesday outside of Bat Cave, located in the mountains of NC. It’s one of the hardest areas hit by Hurricane Helene 11 days earlier. I spoke to residents that don’t have electricity, internet & cell service. I asked each of them about the help they’ve received from FEMA, the state of NC & others. To a person, they said they’ve yet to see or hear from FEMA or any NC govt official. I spoke to a man that is helping distribute necessities to his neighbors in the area. Me: What are you seeing or hearing from FEMA or even from the state government level? Man: (3 seconds of silence) Do you hear that silence? (Another second of silence) That’s what we’ve heard. In another area just outside Bat Cave, there sits a sign asking where FEMA is located. At another location, a sign thanks @elonmusk and encourages people to vote. (Pics below) The responses are all the same, including from road repair workers. Me: How has it been interacting with the governments and local authorities. Worker: The local governments have been great. The state and federal governments suck. We haven’t even see FEMA. Of the seven people I spoke to that reside several miles apart, they all responded the same way and said only “civilians” and some road crews are helping.
